Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.14 is now available for AC models

No change in GPL or wireless code, so highly unlikely, only placebo effects (from rebooting) only.

So Long, Thanks For All The Help

Out of curiosity, I seem to recall @Tech9 being quite satisfied with TP-Link/Omada controllers and APs: what changed recently that brought you (back?) to Ubiquity?

Looking for feedback: Anyone considering AiCloud important to them?

Yeah, in many respects it's a bit of a marketing nightmare: features that were advertised (which likely included those features literally printed on the box, as well as all the online product descriptions across hundreds if not thousands of websites) are now null and void if they fully delete...

    amtm amtm 5.0 - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu, November 17, 2024

Thank you @thelonelycoder for updating amtm with this new version of the lc (LED) script control. On an unrelated topic, I previously had the amtm email function working (for the last couple of years) through Outlook.com (MS/Hotmail), but Microsoft recently fully cutoff access to mail...

New models to be introduced with 3006.102.2

I'd hardly call nearly two years of betas (9.0.0.6) and releases (3.0.0.6) a rush that needs more time to mature. Quite the opposite actually...seems more like unfulfilled promises at this point.

    [ 3006.102 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

I fully understand that it's not your fault in any way, but really Asus? Over a year and a half of betas (9.0.0.6) and 3.0.0.6 releases, yet we are still at a point where the best that can be said is "The BCM4912 migration to 3006 will happen eventually, once that codebase is mature enough...

    [ 3006.102 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

Wow, still no love for the rest of the newer generation of Asus routers that should support this 3006 branch (and have stock Asus-WRT builds available)? Come on Asus (I know it isn't @RMerlin s fault, as I'm sure he still hasn't received the appropriate builds for the rest of the lineup), but...

    Change requests

You might want to read the FAQs of this forum, it has been made more than clear that special requests in exchange for payment are not going to happen, see here in particular.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

Yes, but my comment was directed to @Clark Griswald , who referenced the hardware acceleration features being turned on on a GT-AX6000, but that model doesn't have a build (yet) under the Merlin 3006 branch (although I suppose he could be referring to the status while running the latest stock...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

Wait, what? As far as I can tell, there are no Merlin releases of the 3006.102.1 series for the GT-AX6000, only the RT-BE96U and the GT-BE98_PRO.

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

Was it really that long ago? If so, sign me up for one of those commemorative t-shirts :D , as I fondly recall AB-Solution as well.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 beta is now available

That makes sense: the old "Enabled + Helpers" is the exact equivalent to the new "Enabled". Likewise, the previous "Enabled" only (my case), should (and did), upgrade to the new "Disabled"(which only stops the ALG helpers, and does not block the relevant packet types).

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 beta is now available

In my case, without doing a default reset when upgrading from the last stable firmware version to the second alpha, all of my relevant settings went from "Enabled" (NOT the "Enabled + Helpers" setting), to the newly recommended "Disabled". This was initially very confusing until we started to...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 beta is now available

No, the advice you are giving is for the old way, clearly you have not read the release notes. From here forward, the default (and recommended setting) is "Disabled", as this will still allow these types of packets to pass through. The setting of "Enabled" only turns on the ALG helpers. There...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.13 beta is now available for AC models

A couple of observations here: the page header/descriptive text reads: "Enable NAT Passthrough to allow a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection to pass through the router to the network clients." Does this really have anything to do with VPN connections? Also, while those of us who have...

Isolating home security cameras and providing remote access?

On that note (security camera software), my preference is for the Windows based BlueIris. Just do a Dual NIC based computer setup and that makes it simple to isolate the cameras from directly reaching out to the internet (they can be on one NIC and switch on a subnet with no gateway defined)...

Isolating home security cameras and providing remote access?

Just setup an OpenVPN server connection to your home network, then you can directly access the wired Dahua cameras via their IP address (hopefully fixed/static IP addressing has been applied to each camera). Can't help you with the Wyze cameras, as I've never used those. I assume they have to be...

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

Bizarrely, I do see their "Terms of Use" and "Privacy" policy links underneath the email address login area. But I do fully agree that the privacy aspects might be a bit sketchy, some portions of it include the following:
