    Connection issues (or wifi issues?)

I was about to suggest the same procedure. You might want to contact your ISP. Explain the intermittent lack of internet access and see what they see from there side. Possibly there is a week signal that they can address. The test results they run as well as the ones listed above will be...

    Connection issues (or wifi issues?)

This is what you described this morning: "Hi After some weeks it happened again, two times in a row. I have disconnected one node but it didn’t work. I connected the cable, and the laptop got ip, but I was unable to access to the internet either. Perhaps it’s time to to change the router...

    Connection issues (or wifi issues?)

It sounds like you have a WAN connectivity issue. Take a look at the bottom of the WAN page. You will find a setting for DHCP query frequency. There are three settings: Normal Mode, Aggressive Mode, and Continuous Mode. Try changing this to one of the other settings from what you have. Try...

AiProtection - no hits at all

This method works yet you may have to go a bit further. If disabling AiProtection and then deleting the database dose not fix the issue, I found that withdrawing perdition for all Trend Micro apps and then deleting the database with the following command dose it: rm -rf...

    WiFi 160MHz

I feel it is wise to keep aircraft safe in the sky.

    Connection issues (or wifi issues?)

It sounds like you have a radio failing on one of your routers. Try disconnecting the node and see if the problem goes away. If not, then try using the node as your router and keep the current router off line. Replace the one that is causing the problem. Good luck

    WiFi 160MHz

We see somone complain that they can't use 160 wide channels at least once a week and then a page or two of incorrect information. Possibly you can change the 5-GHz professional mode page to display a message that 160 wide channels have been disabled due to your reginal authorities regulations...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Interesting. I was on 36 80 wide. I switched to auto and then to 36 80 wide and all was good on the router. Later I noticed that clients were not connecting to the nodes (wired backbone). I restarted them and now all is good. Odd bug

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 beta is now available

I've seen this when 160 wide channels is configured and there is DFS interference. You may need to use 80 wide.

Best Cake settings for 5G Home Internet

If you want to give up that much bandwidth cake will work well unless the available bandwidth drops below that value. The other settings will have little effect, ethernet or just leave it 0 should work.

    Expected differences in Speedtest results?

You are testing the speed between your home and a server someplace on the internet. Your ISP may be providing the contracted bandwidth yet someplace upstream of your ISP may be congested and beyond there control. When you get a speed test that is what you are paying for that's great. When you...

Wireless Bridge - AiMesh or Not?

I'd try directional antenna. I've used power line Ethernet which was not great

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 beta is now available

I no longer use any plugin on my router and the stability is a delight. I use AdGuard DNS for some hosts and that's good enough for me.

Blocking GoogleDNS & others via Diversion, Firewall-NSF &/or static routing

The list of hosts available in the dropdown are all on the LAN :-} Traditionally, I agree that the place to point is loopback.

Blocking GoogleDNS & others via Diversion, Firewall-NSF &/or static routing

Under LAN, click the route tab and create a static route for 8.8.8.8 255.255.255.255 to any host. Use this for any destination you wish to block.

Wireless Bridge - AiMesh or Not?

    Detection of iPhone Infection

Cross site scripting dose not necessary indicate infection. It dose indicate that the host was used to do things that the site forced it to do.
