    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

Well thats what i mean, asus wrt dhcp was set hardcoded at like 1min or something, and that screwed up the timing with starlink. If I can ill find a link, not that it matters. I spend time on IRC #asuswrt and st users were having major issues before i even got mine.

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

ok, this may take me a few days. Ill probably just take it off dual-wan. Powercycle the Starlink and see whats happening during that period. Just a fyi, with the first gen starlinks people couldnt even use asus routers over this, i had read on it. Something about the lease time screwing up...

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

In my situation, since the Starlink during like a power/cold boot can take up to 15minutes to come up.. Meaning it gives a fake ip (whatever it does), then after it searches for a sat,etc resends a working ip. I need a roughly 15 minute delay for wan-failover.sh to start. Normally ill know, can...

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

Im probably in the minority on this situation, im not sure if other things do like that (cell, etc). I wouldnt worry about it. Mentioning in the readme is probably enough. As far as giving a like 15min delay on bootup. What do you think is best. get rid of the wan-event command for me, maybe add...

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

This is wan-event. I did setup alerts. Ill try disabling those. #!/bin/bash sh /jffs/scripts/wan-failover.sh cron # Wan-Failover EDIT: I was just messing with this again, did a stupid user error made the wantargets the same, thinking its just pinging to verify connection. But it makes the...

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

ah, it just basically hangs at the last thing in the log shown above... primary stays in hotstand by when it comes back up

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

Isnt the top of that the failback monitoring? The gui shows secondary disconnected, and the internet isnt usable, besides doing a direct ping -I eth5 (secondary)

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

It does come up hot, i have to play with the switching some more, it seems to still when goign to secondary its connected and active , but then 20-30 seconds later switches to disconnected (when it showed disconnected i could ping -I eth5 8.8.8.8 fine). Then took about 3 minutes or so to switch...

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

After the restart and hot, does it really hurt anything to just restart the secondary? admin@RT-AX86U-D7D0:/jffs/scripts# nvram show | grep wan1 link_wan1=1 switch_wan1prio=0 switch_wan1tagid= wan1_6rd_ip4size= wan1_6rd_prefix= wan1_6rd_prefixlen= wan1_6rd_router= wan1_auth_x= wan1_auxstate_t=0...

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

fyi, that command gives no output on my router. youve posted -e "wan1" before, it doesnt work here.. but heres the output of nvram show|grep wan1 Secondary is cold right now. admin@RT-AX86U-D7D0:/tmp/home/root# nvram show | grep wan1 link_wan1=1 switch_wan1prio=0 switch_wan1tagid=...

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

that does same on mine, just try them separate.. nvram set wan_1_state_t=2 service "restart_wan_if 1"

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

As @dave14305 pointed out, i did a typo on the service command.. service "restart_wan_if 1" is correct
  18. R

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

    correct, total typo

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

Im sure you know it more then me, but when starlink would lose signal, it would switchover. And the basic router/ethernet connection was still up. Why would it do ping monitoring to like google or microsoft if it just wanted a link?
