[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

Does the bandwith limiter works on your RT-AX56U with beta 1/2?

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

I play with the 5ghz channel, I set channel bandwith to 20mhz and Channel to 36(Use Wi-Fi Analyzer) to make sure it's not an issue caused by interference with other channels. Go in the Wireless->Professional Tab https://imgur.com/a/Dnj161x Those are my settings for 2.4ghz and 5ghz, if you are...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

I can confirm the same behaviour on my AX56U, run a speedtest if you are curious about Core 4's color

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

    Have you tried the QoS?

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

I'm getting 94Mbps with 1ms unloaded and 27 ms loaded, if I set it to measure loaded during upload I get 121 ms. I often have multiple devices uploading at the same time and I'm often trying to prioritize time sensitive applications. I'd like to get the QoS to work so I can rule out if this high...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

Yes I did and it does retain the settings after applying.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

I swapped the values: I tried limiting download with 85-80-70-50, I keep getting 65-75 megabit/s with 10-60ms bufferbloat. I tried limiting upload with 40-35-10 and I keep getting 33-48 megabit/s in download with an average 300-500ms bufferbloat. I just tried 50/10 and dslreport result was 79.5/48.2

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

That's exactly my problem, QoS fails to limit the bandwith. I'm starting to think this issue might be specifically related to the RT-AX56U, I wonder if users who own the AX58U/AX3000 have this same issue.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

Enable Adaptive QoS, use Manual settings, select fq_codel and allocate 85/90% of your Download/Upload bandwith. Then you can run https://www.dslreports.com/speedtest

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

Have you tried the Adaptive QoS on your RT-AX56U? Is it correctly limiting your bandwith?

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

Yes, I tried with QoS OFF and the results aren't much different from the screenshots (except from random upload spikes up to 700/1500ms, but the average upload bufferbloat is still at 130-170ms) I tried to limit the download/upload bandwith with different values but it's not making any...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

RT-AX56U with 384.16 beta. Main issues: -Adaptive QoS is broken (It's not correctly limiting the download/upload) Minor Issues: - Network Map-> Client View List occasionally fail to load - Power led is switched OFF With the stock firmware I had two devices which suffered from "No Internet...

    Is QoS broken?

That's a good question, it is definitely detecting games like Overwatch and R6 as Gaming traffic but I don't know if it's effectively prioritizing these packets. I can try to look at the network graph in Overwatch to confirm if the QoS is working. *while pinging the server

    Is QoS broken?

Adaptive QoS is definitely broken on my RT-AX56U with 386.16_B. QoS in upload doesn't work whether I'm on wifi/cable, download seems to work properly. I did a 'dirty' update when flashing to the 386.16 from 3.0.0.4.384.8253, what firmware update method did you use @Simon W ?Did you fully reset...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

This is weird, the upload bufferbloat I'm getting with cable/wifi is the exact same.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

I've put it badly, I manually uploaded the .W file to flash the firmware and all the settings that I previously modified in the stock firmware were retained after flashing. The only customization I implemented is FreshJr script, I had to tweak multiple settings in Wireless->General and...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

I didn't reset the router before flashing the firmware. Most of the manual setting have been exported into the beta firmware after flashing. The stock firmware is giving me more issues and worse results (bufferbloat during upload is fluctuating between 80-150ms with both firmwares, however...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

I tried every combination with 95/90/85/80 for download and 45/40/35/30 for upload, every time I run dslreport I get the exact same Download/Upload speed : 93mbps/48mbps, even if I set download to 1mpbs and upload to 1mbps, it doesn't make any sense. Using the Automatic Settings make my...
