I have never experienced this with any of the versions. What model of router are you using? Are you able to generate some log files?

I have both the AC66 and AC68, same behavior. Will try the 3 commands. USB Connect might not be necessary. The device ID does get detected if the device is turned on after the router has already been on for some time. Checked it with "dmesg" . However, I think it's the lpd issue. I tried service...

Even when I turn off the printer and back on, it is unable to print. Is there a command to restart the print server daemon?

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Hi, I have had problems printing to a USB based Laser Printer. Not sure if anyone has seen this issue. I have this issue since V6 . The issue is that it does not print at all unless I reboot the router. 1. Turn on printer. Print. (80% of the time, fails) 2. Turn on Printer. Reboot Router...

I have this problem when there was corruption on my USB's ext2 file system. What I did was take it out, plug it to a linux box, do the checks and then plug it back in. Now I also use "tune2fs" set it to do a e2fsck on every boot. Problem has not come back for a few months now.

Sorry I can't help more. Having NAT Acceleration turned off fixed the problem for me.

Did you turn off "NAT Acceleration" ? You need to turn it off and save, then reboot before turning on webmon

This could be an issue for a long while back. Have not touched the QoS feature for more than 6 months. Noticed the following messages appearing multiple times in syslog and it's still happening when using QoS now with both the fork and merlin's codes. Mar 11 09:22:53 kernel: HTB: quantum of...

    Monitoring Web Usage with Asuswrt-Merlin

Thanks John. This is helpful troubleshooting tips. Anyway I found the problem, it could be a bug with the Switch options page. There are 3 options : Jumbo Frames, Spanning Tree and NAT Acceleration. My jumbo frames was off while the STP and NAT are on. If I simply turn NAT off, after I go back...

    Monitoring Web Usage with Asuswrt-Merlin

I just turned off my NAT acceleration and inserted your script into my /jffs/scripts/firewall-start . I found that the iptables entries have been updated however /proc/webmon_recent_domains and /proc/webmon_recent_searches seems to show up empty when I tried to cat them or use your showwebmon.sh...

    Monitoring Web Usage with Asuswrt-Merlin

Thanks @RMerlin I will disable it and see how well this module works then . I have a 400Mbps connection with the AC68U and I typically don't get more than 320Mbps from my ISP. It's easily reversible if I disable QOS and webmon plugins right?

What is the performance of the AC66 , AC68 and AC87 with NAT Acceleration disabled? I understand they will drop significantly?

Got it. Highlighted a few little things that are different. Other than that, @TeHashX did a great post. Really should be stickied. Thanks to you, TeHashX, RMerlin.. this is really a great rom.

This is great and should be stickied now that the AC68 and N56 has Entware. By the way, you might want to add in the script name for the post-mount script and the entware.arm seems to be asusware.arm on my device. (ac68)

John, thanks for the clearing the air on this. How can I switch from Optware to Entware? Do I neeed to delete all the Optware stuff which I have right now in my router or can I simply run the Entware script? I know that this is not the Entware thread but it'd give us who use Optware on AC68 and...

If I already have Optware installed, can I still run the Entware script? By the way, the size is 20MB instead of 29MB. Is this correct?

Use greenify. It really works. If you have xposed framework, then install not manager, or works much better without malware or spyware For wakelocks, install wakelocks detector from the play store. I use all 3 and my boot and battery are optimized
