    @maxbraketorque I've been happy with my Main/AP setup, and I was curious how your setup has been? Have you "upgraded" to RMerlin fw, or have you found benefits in the current official/beta fws?

    That's not the GT-BE98. If only there was a proper link to post on the RT-BE96 Gee Wally, can you and your buddies stop getting a guys' hopes up. Not that I have the money/need for the GT-BE98, and still requires RMerlin FW for consideration!

    I don't remember the specifics, but vpn fusion is rog only. Not many Forum Members citing their praises of the rog fw.

    Dirty Flashed from rog to RMerlin, during testing, and I don't think (?) I needed to redo any settings. Yet, I may be inkorrekt. Just remember to clear browser cache, after the fw change.

    Both @L&LD @Tech9 make strong points both routers are "similar" (the pro has identical footprint of AC86), but if you remove the reviews regarding the 6000 appearance you will discover many happy 6000 owners (see sig).     Best approach is not use the router usb for a NAS. Casa Griswald has experienced zero issues with the latest RMerlin FWs.

    It took 48 hours, but the mystery of the mass Asus router outage is solved

    RMerlin FW, keeping my Router/AP running well without any anomalies (outages)! I rarely look at the router logs, yet scrolled through to verify no issues.

    o_O With comcrap prices for 1G-up 40-down, I can barely keep food on the table. EDIT: I would pay slightly more, if the UL speed would match the DL speed! Recently put OVPN and WG on my router, and I am pleased with how well the two work together.
