Router can ping and trace but clients can't...

You read the manual just to help me troubleshoot? Well I feel special now, thanks. The extender is in another apartment, my daughter's and I'm waiting on her to reset it one of these days or just bring the damn thing over so I can factory reset. But you're right, it's not hosting a DNS server...

Router can ping and trace but clients can't...

Maybe so. It's a Netgear EX6120 and I don't think there's any way to turn off its DHCP server and make it just a bridged extender. I'm trying to login to it via its local domain http://mywifiext or 192.168.1.250 but no luck. I've been trying for hours but not seeing any devices with that IP even...

Router can ping and trace but clients can't...

My N66U, which worked fine for months, gave me problems when I added a wifi extender to the network and along with it maybe 5 more clients. At first I thought it was the modem acting up since I could reach the router but I just had no internet. So I used "Network Tools" on the router to ping and...

    Beta [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 53D1

Just blocking youtube. The kids have online classes but spend way too much time watching dumb videos so would be great to block it and maybe allow when I know they're caught up with school work. I'm just kind of playing a game by myself so far and seeing if I can block myself from youtube...

    Beta [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 53D1

Ah, thanks. I made the mistake of thinking if Diversion didn't support it on N66U it wasn't possible. This should be enough to get me started.

    Beta [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 53D1

IPset is for newer kernels that N66U doesn't support, right? Or so last I read and why Diversion doesn't support the N66U. But so it goes after I ask the question I found a partial answer using static routes but I have to input a bunch of IPs just to block youtube and after 10+ IPs, it's still...

    Beta [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 53D1

Any way to block sites by IP on the N66U? I know there's a program (forgot the name) that you can install on most Merlin-based routers to do so but it's not compatible with the N66U due to older kernel. Is there any way whatsoever to block by IP on the N66U? I know you can DNS block but it's...

    Beta [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 53D1

What? So is he working on porting OpenWRT to these routers or is it something separate?

    Beta [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 53D1

Hope you're doing well, John. My router has been doing well for years thanks to you.

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 50E8

Edit: Seems this error was fixed with 50DA. Going to try soon. Same except "watchdog 346" if that makes a difference. Otherwise things seem to be running normally for me as they have almost the entire time of using this firmware. And congrats on 7 years of this fork, John. I think I've...

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

It worked. Not sure why but I just enabled/disabled jffs partition and ssh so I can save my settings. After setting them back it accepted the firmware.

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

I've downloaded 49E4 for the N66U twice and double-checked the checksum but still get "Firmware upgrade unsuccessfully. It may result from incorrect image or error transmission. Please check the version of firmware and try again." Maybe wireless issues on my part? But pinging my router I keep...

Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 46E8 (Superseded)

Hah. I meant the power supply/charger on the router. I've heard this was an issue for someone before. After all, N66U has many years on it. Thankfully mine's still doing great.

Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 46E8 (Superseded)

I know this is a thing with PCs that when their PSU starts to fail, capacitors in particular, software can seem pretty flaky. Have you tried another power supply?

Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 46E8 (Superseded)

Using Firefox? This happened to me at one point with certain extensions, never found out exactly which extension or setting as I changed many at once, but likely those privacy related.

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 45EC

If I understand your question correctly... Wireless --> General --> Professional. Make sure radio is enabled. It should be by default.

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 45EC

Edit: Fixed at the browser level. I've done a couple hours researching this. I've decided blame should be laid on Firefox because the firmware seems to be using all first party assets on that tab for that function, no reason it shouldn't work. Anyway, I was going to submit a bug at bugzilla but...

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 45EC

Anyone have 'first party isolate' enabled on firefox and can actually get output from the traffic manager tab? Same issue on two PCs with firefox unless I disable it. Not a big deal though, just a very mild nuisance on what has otherwise been very stable hardware and software (John's Fork...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I'm missing parts of Traffic Manager on Firefox but it only happens with firstparty cookie isolation enabled. Could that be the problem?

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

It seems with the latest dev version, D5, that on Firefox 80 with website.firstpartyisolate set to true, certain iframes don't work such as on the Traffic Manager page. Dev tools doesn't show it setting cookies unless I disable the setting. I recall this working on FF79 with firstpartyisolate...
