    Trying to use Quad9 with new ASUS RT-AX88U Pro

    No issues here using 388.2 and when I was using DNSDirector for specific devices. Now I use AdGuard Home loaded on the AX86U Pro which works great. I stopped using Quad9 a long time ago due to high latency and other “unexplainable” issues. My go to default DNS servers now are Cloudflare.

    Yes, I started completely fresh as I was setting up a new router and new usb ssd drive.

    Ok…. I wiped the usb drive and started over. Installed entware, created swap file and installed AGH. Success!!!! Now I can login to the admin web. Thanks @SomeWhereOverTheRainBow for your assistance!

    Can you elaborate on this? This router was setup from ”scratch”. I did an intial base setup, updated to Merlin 388.2, did a full reset. I then did a format on the usb ssd drive before proceeding to do the amtm entware install and setup.

    Tried these suggestions and still the same issue, unable to login to AdGuard Home. I guess there is something in this new architecture that is not compatible. Oh well, not getting rid of the RT-AX86U Pro because of this. Everything else is working great. :)

    Done... same results..... FYI, I put my old AC86U online and it installed and runs without any issues... go figure... :) For now, I just use the DNS Director and point to the AdGuard Ad Block DNS. It works.

    I have ran AdGuardHome in the past on my RT-AC86U and it ran perfectly. My new RT-AX86U Pro on the otherhand does not like it. No matter what I try (all the previous suggestions in this thread) I continue to have the missing python error and I cannot login to the admin web interface. I figure...

    Does ASUSWRT-Merlin's XT12 firmware support ET12?

    ZenWiFi does not have as large a user base as the other Asus wifi routers and I daresay most of it’s users are not prone to use third party firmware. As for 6e, it’s not all that useful for 90% of wifi products and Wifi 7 is right around the corner.

    Unless they are in an unusually high temp location, those particular routers should not require extra cooling.

    I had the same issue on my AX86U Pro. I changed the compression from disabled to LZO Adaptive which solved that error. I then decided to check with TorGuard and they had a new client .ovpn config for 2.6 OpenVPN. I loaded the new client config file and it is working great now.
