[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

The secondary dev and remaining devs are still around. The product is stable in my opinion. UPDATE: I just installed Tomato on my rt-ac66u_b1 and the 5ghz signal strength is strong! https://bitbucket.org/snowman58/freshtomato-arm/downloads/...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Tomato has been around in one form or another for quite some time: since 2006 according to Wikipedia. I don't think their performance is on par with Merlin, but their security updates are top notch.

Again, thanks for the reply, but I am pretty familiar with my firmware options. I was hoping (obviously hopelessly) that was more information available on the status of this firmware.

Thanks for the reply. I'm only looking at this firmware right now. I'm not keen on switching, but I'll switch back to DD-WRT if this firmware is no longer maintained.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I have enjoyed using this firmware for a few years now. However, I am bit concerned about whether or not it will be supported in the future. Does anyone have any new information about the status of this project? Should I plan to migrate to different firmware in the near future?

I agree. There are several issues with alternative router firmware right now: new FCC rules, no more KONG DD-WRT, Tomato not supporting newer models, etc. I really hope we don't lose one of the few beacons of hope on the router alternative firmware landscape.

I'm interested in installing Skynet on router using the Merlin LTS fork. I did a search and all other entries seemed to be in the regular Merlin area. Does it work and are there any extra steps to get it going? If there is a better area to post, please point in the right direction. Thanks

John, thank you very much for this firmware! I have used (and continue to use) Tomato, Gargoyle, OpenWRT, and DD-WRT in the past, and I'm very impressed with your Merlin LTS fork. The stability, ease of installation, ease of updating, new features, and additional security updates definitely...

Hmm. I'm noticing one more thing in the log I'm curious about: "stubby-proxy: configured no-TLS mode"

Will this work on the new Asus RT-n66u_c1?

Mea culpa. I re-applied the update, and everything seems ok, again.

Should there be a Stubby log file? I don't see that either. I don't mean to be difficult. The "/tmp/var/tmp/stubby" folder is empty.

It has been about 15 minutes and they still don't show.

I upgraded to the B6 from the B5 without doing a factory reset and now my wireless clients don't show in the network map, but they do show in the log and they are connected. I don't mind, but I thought people will like to know.

Just installed 34B5 on RT-AC66U_b1 and all seems well. I'm running DoT with Cloudflare and "" Alt and DDNS with custom script. So far, pretty sweet.

I'm not sure how much help this will be, but... I've got the new beta firmware running on an Asus RT-AC66U_B1. I'm running custom DDNS and DoT using CloudFlare and I haven't experienced any issues yet. I am curious about this syslog entry: "Aug 3 06:10:12 stubby-proxy: configured server...
