    IPsec ac88u crashes 384.8 and 384.7

I started to notice lately that my IPsec would not work. When I go to my router and click the VPN tab to configure the IPsec, the routers web GUI crashes and is not accessible again until I reboot the router. What is strange is if i visit the HTTPS page it works again up until i try to view the...

I had two ac88u's hacked recently with last 384.5 firmware

Just an update, after reverting the changes on the two routers, all 7 are good again. I do not see anything strange going on on the log server either. Will post if something new pop up.

Trend Micro Two Way IPS Hits

Has anyone ever got an alert that is not high level? Why even bother having levels if everything is always high!

I had two ac88u's hacked recently with last 384.5 firmware

The two that were infected did have a wide range of family members, from seniors to teens. Perhaps it was a local lan attack, or an external attack which happened to hit the AT&t iprange first.

I had two ac88u's hacked recently with last 384.5 firmware

Just wanted to share/document two devices which were hacked. I manage 7 ac88u's for various family members homes. I recently checked all of them and two had Asian letters after I logged in. Hmm, interesting. After some digging, I found that both had a PP2P VPN set up as servers. Logs have been...

    Buffer Bloat scores, +

Bufferbloat is the undesirable latency that comes from a router or other network equipment buffering too much data. It is a huge drag on Internet performance created, ironically, by previous attempts to make it work better. The one-sentence summary is “Bloated buffers lead to network-crippling...

Deauth other AP's on same channel

Is it possible to somehow set up our routers to run a script which will send deauth packets to other AP's which hop on the same channel? I have 2 neighbors who's routers are most likely on auto channel, and every so often they hop to my routers channel. I normally just use my laptop and deauth...

"You cannot Login unless logout another user first."

Sometimes I forgot to log out from my local pc, and when I need to make a change remotely I run into the " You cannot Login unless logout another user first." issue. Is there a way to ssh into my router to log out the user? Currently, I am dropping wifi, but that seems disruptive. Thanks many.

    Asuswrt-Merlin - Project update

Sounds tempting as long as it's stable, really prefer that over features. Will I be locked in 382, as in I can not go back to 380, similar to I forgot the version, which locked down the firmware from ASUS. Thanks!

    Asuswrt-Merlin - Project update

Would I even want my rt-ac88u on the 382? I feel like it will be buggy for days, only since 380.68 have I had a stable router.
