iblocklist.com generic ipset loader for ipset v6 and v4

Sorry for a bit off-topic. I have only the ya-malware-block.sh script running on my RT-N66U with the LTS firmware from John. So I tried the script from post #250 but that returns only the prompt with no info at all. Is it possible to make this MatchIP function work with ya-malware-block?

Really nice! I assume the default is "Yes", because that is what most people will use. If you hover over it with the mouse do you also get a nice help text balloon? With something like: "Switch to No only if you use third party firewall blocking script(s)." :D

Ahhh, I see. In that case I would also prefer to switch off this closed source Asus thing. :p I really like the well maintained open source scripts found here on SNB. :)

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Wish I could, but my ancient RT-N66U router doesn't support IPSet v6. (But the ya-malware-block script works great on my RT-N66U !)

Can you explain why this could be needed? I'm using the ya-malware-block script, which I believe is similar to Skynet.

No, no 'nvram low' messages. I do have my OpenVPN certs/keys in nvram, not on jffs. But this I have for a long time without problems. NVRAM usage is always stable at 82% used. NVRAM usage 53948 / 65536 bytes (82% utilized) Usually I power off and on the router before a flash. To free up...

Uhhh, I added the space again and it keeps working. Description text is now exactly as is was. I think there was nothing wrong with the name. Must be some weird glitch that got fixed by removing the port forward rule and add it back again...

When I used the browser back button I also needed to login again. Try to fix it by removing your port forward rule(s), then save, then add them back again and save. Does that fix it for you?

Yep! I used a space in the description name. Not sure if this space was a problem with the previous firmware. Anyway, thanks for the pointer! Fixed it. In your screenshot I see the description is also shown. Somehow I always see N/A.

On my RT-N66U it's consistent in all browsers I tested. Top header is gone. Only thing I can do is click on the browsers back button to get out of this page. Did you check on a RT-N66U?

Thx John! V26E4 running. Only the "System Log -> Port Forwarding" tab looks a bit funny. The top header seems to be gone on that page. (Chrome and IE11 tested.)

How to Dynamically Ban Malicious IP's using IPSet (Martineau version)

    Cr@p! I now see it's about iptables. I'm out with iptables v1.3.8 on the RT-N66U. :(

How to Dynamically Ban Malicious IP's using IPSet (Martineau version)

OK. I tried v3.05 from the first page of this thread. Configured all using the included help. Looking at the syslog it executed without errors and gives the impression it runs fine. (Also tested my VPN connection.) See attached.

How to Dynamically Ban Malicious IP's using IPSet (Martineau version)

I would like to try this script on my old RT-N66U with the latest LTS firmware from John. Question is will this also block my OpenVPN connection I use a lot on my router? I use this on my smartphone on Public WiFi to setup a safe VPN connection to my home router. So a lot of valid different WAN...

Works fine here. WiFi never changes in this LTS fork, so WiFi is the same (good) as ever before.
