Entware-3x for new HND platform (GT-AC5300 and RT-AC86U) with asuswrt-merlin firmware

Thanks for reporting. It was an "entware wide" bug introduced with the last December 2017 sync. It is now fixed. Run `opkg update; opkg upgrade`. PS The best place to report bugs and ask for new packages is here - https://github.com/Entware-for-kernel-3x/Entware-ng-3x/issues for all Entware-3x...

Entware-3x for new HND platform (GT-AC5300 and RT-AC86U) with asuswrt-merlin firmware

There is no major/minor release for entware. I have added package entware-release that creates /opt/etc/entware_release file to identify entware. Now it is installed by asuswrt-install.sh script. Approximately a dozen of asuswrt users have already installed Entware-3x. They can run `opkg update...

Entware-3x for new HND platform (GT-AC5300 and RT-AC86U) with asuswrt-merlin firmware

There is no release information now in Entware. Currently repo can be identified by /opt/etc/opkg.conf. Yes, it is a good idea. src/gz keen3x http://entware-3x.zyxmon.org/binaries/mipsel The last portion of URL is architcture. The beginning is different for Entware-ng and Entware-3x.

Entware-3x for new HND platform (GT-AC5300 and RT-AC86U) with asuswrt-merlin firmware

I have fixed and updated asuswrt-opt package, for new installs the symlinks will be OK. For those who have incorrect symlinks - run ln -s /sbin/ifconfig /opt/sbin/ifconfig ln -s /sbin/route /opt/sbin/route rm /opt/bin/ifconfig rm /opt/bin/route

Entware-3x for new HND platform (GT-AC5300 and RT-AC86U) with asuswrt-merlin firmware

This is a bug. Where are ifconfog and route in asuswrt? May be ip and netstat are such links? Can you tell me what binaries are in firmware and in what folder for asuswrt? I'll correct it here (ip, route, ifconfig, netstat)...

Entware-3x for new HND platform (GT-AC5300 and RT-AC86U) with asuswrt-merlin firmware

Timezone in Entware-3x is defined by /opt/etc/localtime file. It can be a symbolic link to /etc/localtime if firmware uses glibc as a system lib, or can be a symlink to your region: /opt/etc/localtime -> /opt/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Moscow This is from uclibc based router!

Entware-3x for new HND platform (GT-AC5300 and RT-AC86U) with asuswrt-merlin firmware

@Odkrys has installed 64-bit version. BTW @Voxel 32-bit armv7 repo can be also used on HND platform. It will be faster than entware-ng and probably faster than standard 32-bit Entware-3x repo.

Entware-3x for new HND platform (GT-AC5300 and RT-AC86U) with asuswrt-merlin firmware

Yes! I have missed that. Native gcc now uses the correct linker flags by default after this commit https://github.com/Entware-for-kernel-3x/entware-packages-3x/commit/0d63f56740a3e95dccb9e92c3ec341342484c34d#diff-4ae926e6b8f88327e9398dbabb463b3c

Entware-3x for new HND platform (GT-AC5300 and RT-AC86U) with asuswrt-merlin firmware

I am testing aarch64 repo on QNAP TS-128A with Realtek RTD1295. I have also run it without problems on Amlogic S912 Tv Box (Android). Some android users will probably test it on MediaTek MT6753 smartfones in near future. As for Broadcom.... If aarch64 is not good, armv7 will work. Still I...

Entware-3x for new HND platform (GT-AC5300 and RT-AC86U) with asuswrt-merlin firmware

Entware-3x is new version of Entware optimized for 3.x and 4.x linux kernels. It is based on Entware-ng but can be used only on firmwares with 3.x and 4.x linux kernels. Entware-3x has more packages compared to Entware-ng because some packages cannot be compiled for old kernels, some Entware-3x...
