AC66U slow with 6in4 - advise on new router

I've been struggling with my AC66U (old rev.) speed issues, finally I narrowed it down to IPv6. When I enable 6in4, my speed over ipv4 gets capped at around ~130-150 mbps, and router is lagging like crazy (ICMP 20-30ms, unresponsive web), as soon as I disable IPv6, I get ~700-900 mbps without...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

You are correct. Disabling NAT acceleration seem to do exactly the same. Capped at 150 mbps. And yeah, CPU is on ~100% usage. Any recommendation for routers that can handle 6in4 and 700+ mbps? Do all ASUS routers have to disable NAT acceleration to use 6in4?

Yes, I'm sure I'm using IPv4, I've set my PCs to prefer IPv4 over IPv6 using this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929852/guidance-for-configuring-ipv6-in-windows-for-advanced-users. Checked in http://ipv6-test.com/ that IPv4 is preferred and checked in resource monitor that connection...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Just installed this over Merlin on AC66U. For some reason IPv6 doesn't work. I'm using 6in4 with address from tunnel broker. It works when I'm using Network Tools inside router and ping something using ipv6, but advertise doesn't seem to work. Tried specifying address manually on network devices...

[SOLVED] 100/1000 Mbits (NAT Loopback low speed AC66)

Sorry for going off topic. I'm not sure. I don't want to spend all the money on router as well so will be happy with a slight upgrade, maybe to AC68. Should I look for a latest revision (it's E1, right?), or it's not a big difference if I end up with earlier rev? At the same time AC66 would be...

[SOLVED] 100/1000 Mbits (NAT Loopback low speed AC66)

Big thanks for the help, ColinTaylor! Yes, in idle CPU load is <1%. I'm out of luck then. But I'm happy I don't have to destroy the walls to replace the cables, haha! :D Can your router potentially handle high-speed transfer using NAT loopback? Or B revision of AC66, or which one would you...

[SOLVED] 100/1000 Mbits (NAT Loopback low speed AC66)

Disabling firewall and/or changing loopback to Merlin did nothing. The speed is indeed higher than 100mbit, so then the issue must be with CPU usage. Could the high sirq be caused by NAT loopback? I mean it gets the file to the router and then sends it back on the same LAN port. One more top...

[SOLVED] 100/1000 Mbits (NAT Loopback low speed AC66)

Pretty much nothing apart from port forwarding, DHCP leases, adding 6in4 Tunnel and 2 VPN servers. Just did a factory reset today. Firewall is enabled, logged packets are off, NAT loopback is set to ASUS, should i try Merlin?

[SOLVED] 100/1000 Mbits (NAT Loopback low speed AC66)

That might be it! The router is hitting 100%, didn't expect it to do it just for 1 connection. Here's top screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/fUHZIGg.png (watchdog process was also on top usage a couple of times, but didn't make it to the screenshot) CPU usage: http://i.imgur.com/AU8JE1V.png The...

[SOLVED] 100/1000 Mbits (NAT Loopback low speed AC66)

Hello, http://i.imgur.com/P2wbmdS.png Behind LAN 1 there is a Gbit network switch with 2 PCs with Gbit adapters connected to it. When I try to send something from 1 PC to another directly I can see speeds reaching 85-100 MBytes/s, but when I do the same through router, the speed is limited to...

My router have huge CPU usage with firmwares 380.66, 380.67 and 380.68

Do you have QoS enabled? If so, try turning it off.
