    The backup utility can't help with reducing NVRAM storage. What is taking up nvram space? DHCP reservations? There is a solution for that one. Otherwise, I recommend you post in the Asus official or Asuswrt-Merlin thread where others with more knowledge about the issue can help.

    Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

    It's an entware package. Updates have to be applied manually. Just use option ep->1 in AMTM to update. Sounds like the pkg is not installed though. So just copy/paste the opkg install command in ssh session.

    I had to apply a hot fix to the prior hot fix related to a firewall-start issue. Update x3mMenu to 2.4.4 and select option 5 for any necessary corrections to be applied.

    The permission issue should be unrelated. To fix, type the command chmod 755 /jffs/scripts/firewall-start Keep searching down for "x3mRouting.sh): 3585" to see if it completed.
