    my issue is when I checked my switch it has the wan ports set up but because I hard wired my 4 televisions from around the house the wiring comes into my basement and I have to plug them into my switch so they work. Unless I am mistaken I cannot, therefore, use backhaul?

    well whilst the nodes are now recognised the error message not mesh client, cant update its ip is still being logged

    Indeed I did, I have been waiting for ages to do this and read lots of threads and what people found to fix things. I have just uninstalled the nodes, reset manually and it seems to be okay, fingers crossed I will watch this for a bit tonight

    sooooooooo, I decided to go for it and upgrade the firmware to both 86u and the 68u, all seemed fine after clean set up however I saw a tab called optimization in the aimesh section soi clicked it and hmmm, it was all silent and then I thought ok well I will check that later. it's now later and...

    For me both the 86u and this upgrade making too nervous as my wife has her own home business and I would not have any nuts left if I was left without internet. I shall take a pass for now both upgrades

    Hmmm, so one 86u linked straight off of router, other 86 is upstairsconnected via Ethernet and 68u is bedroom also via Ethernet. So I am treating the first 86u as the root and the others as the nodes. Least thats what the app So remove nodes first then update firmware or update firmware then...

    What's with the release of Aimesh firmware well? I do use aimesh so do I download this and the aimesh firmware?

    Because I don't actually use the app cos I don't quite understand what it does I am happy sticking with Nord. What I really don't get is I am able to use nord with quad9 set up on router but can't when I want to use the app on my cell, pretty certain it's acting like a vpn and not a dis set up...

    Should have been more clear, there is an app called quad9 connect, not entirely sure what it does although it does show the locked symbol when it's on so maybe vpn ish?
