    Something seems off. My Pixel 6 connected to my AC68U is getting ~600 Mbps down and ~580 up.

    What are you using for backhaul? Or does access point mode dictate that backhaul is wired vs repeater mode using wireless?

    You're going to be waiting a looooooong time. I don't believe Asus has plans to add WireGuard (388 branch firmware) to the AC86U. Edit: My AC86U on 386.10 (with many dirty upgrades) is running just fine with WireGuard Manager.

    I'm stuck at why you decided to load year and a half old beta firmware on to your router??!? I would suggest doing a factory reset and a manual configuration. You need to do the factory reset after installing the new firmware. I suspect some remnants got carried over from the beta firmware...

    It's my understanding that Asus is working on changes to the firmware that will make flow cache compatible with WireGuard so at some point in the future you won't suffer from the speed penalty. Edit: And had you mentioned WireGuard in your first post we could have immediately solved the issue...

    I've used various Pixels over the years with no issues. As others have mentioned, don't worry about 5G. LTE isn't going anywhere soon. Pro tip: enable developer options and then go in and set the default USB mode to tethering. This will save you a few clicks upon restarting either device.

    Not 100 percent accurate. The AC86U is one of the few models where WireGuard is compatible with NAT acceleration. I am currently running my AC86U this way. No need for doing anything with iptables.

    I'm using Cloudflare via the WAN tab in the Asuswrt-Merlin firmware. I have DNSFilter set on the router to re-route all DNS queries through Cloudflare. I'm IPV4 only also if that might matter.

    I didn't click into the Wyze link but I've been using both Wyze cameras and DoT for 2+ years now without issue.
