    Yeah, I saw this too. I figured it wanted my Google pw but like you I didn't feel comfortable with it. Plus I'm suspecting it's not going to alert me in real time during any attack anyway so I didn't really see the point.

    VPN for one device only

    This is exactly how I isolated my Android TV box to the VPN. Also note you can do it in reverse, putting everything behind the VPN except selected clients.

    I had a vexing issue with 2.4 disconnects on my trusty Win7 machine that eventually was solved by setting the channel bandwidth to 20 MHz.
