    R7800 - Best Config for Gaming/Low Ping

You should also test your bufferbloat score. Some modems tend to produce bad bufferbloat scores due to large buffer inside the modems. If you get a high score, it's most likely your modem may be the cause instead of the R7800. If this is the case, you can try getting a newer model from your ISP...

What’s the next router to consider?

Voxel seems to prefer Qualcomm-based routers/Orbi systems. If he's to move on and doesn't change his mind, I'd recommend the RAX120 which is the only Qualcomm-based AX pure router NG offers at the moment. I guess you can do more/it's more flexible firmware-wise with Qualcomm routers as QCA uses...

    Voxel Need Voxel Firmware Help

Voxel is basically stock firmware with updated packages and bug fixes. You can switch between true stock (NETGEAR) and Voxel back and forth without much issues, if any.

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.88SF

You're using DumaOS, which isn't supported. Only stock firmware is suppported on R7800/R8900/R9000 and Orbi

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.87SF

IIRC, they added DHCP options 60 and 61. Besides that, they have shorten the amount of letters you can use in DHCP reseration for Device Name. A really stupid move

I've seen NG has released source code for versions up to .82 (latest release). Any plans to add some of it to your firmware? https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GPL/R7800-V1.0.2.82_gpl_src.tar.bz2.zip

    ReadySHARE USB Printer replacement (Windows)

Does your printer have a LAN port? If so, do as me. Hook the printer with a network cable to the router. Prints flawlessly here and I've never had issues (I use CUPS on Linux)

    Voxel The Voxel donation thread

I think Voxel deserves some donations from people for his hard work on improving what is crap from NETGEAR to something stable and usable. For this, I started this thread to make people aware. I just donated a few days ago to him with what was left over in my PayPal accound. If you're willing...

    Wi-Fi 6E: The Basics

It's not a requirement but a recommendation. My R7800 also has the "Enable 11k" option on its debug page

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.85SF

I'm a big fan of Qualcomm Atheros-based routers. Sadly, they're difficult to find. The industry has more or less settled on Broadcom-based ones.

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.85SF

The R7800 is a very decent router hardware-wise. It's not as old as the R7000 which still sells a lot. I personally have no need to replace my R7800.

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.84SF

Most likely. There isn't any other Armor. I guess they want to sync the feature-list with the other models and try to make some more $$$ in the process.
