Kamoj Kamoj Add-on 5.1 Beta testing poll

I use the latest 5.1b9-6 version. AFAIK it has never updated before (always need to manually update). My Internet is working just fine 24/7

Kamoj Kamoj Add-on 5.1 Beta testing poll

    Blacklist is not auto-updating. I have the following kamoj_adblock_update_time=0 19 * * * kamoj_adblock_autoupdate=1 kamoj_adblock_adaway=1 It should update at 19 o'clock but when I do ls -l /etc/blacklist.txt, the timestamp is "Apr 19 17:27" (I did a manual update at that time) Also, if...

No, hardware doesn't support it AFAIK. They may bring out a new revision of these models, though

    LG TV Ethernet connectivity

Have you tried going through the Network settings on the TV from scratch and reconfigure it while it's plugged in to your AC68U? It's like forcing it to forget previous settings. Make sure to power cycle the TV afterwards

[R7800] Will no longer save settings after reboot.

Another interesting fact is that a lot of ASUS routers use Macronix for their Flash chip and I haven't seen any reports that they lose settings after reboot. My speculative theory is that some recently produced R7800s have a bad batch of these Flash chips. Macronix is a major player in the NAND...

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.75.1SF & v. 1.0.2.75.2SF

6to4tunnel is not always reliable as it depends on a working v6 relay node to translate. I used it in the past before my ISP handed out IPv6 addresses and often had issues due to not working relays

Buffer Bloat what can I change in router?

Keep in mind that it's not only the router that plays in this but also the modem. Back in the days I had really bad bufferbloat, until I swapped my modem for another one due to a speed upgrade. Since then, my bufferbloat has miraculously gone

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.75.1SF & v. 1.0.2.75.2SF

Good idea, but I don't mind the sleep of 12 to delay start of other processes. I just need to auto-start slaac at boot time (and kill NG's radvd so I can use my own config) and I rarely reboot the router except for upgrades. From the few reboots I did, it didn't take long for the router to fully...

[R7800] Will no longer save settings after reboot.

Because when you upload a Settings file, the router applies it and reboots. So when it reboots, the NVRAM is cleared again in these faulty units and thus your settings are gone as well. It's a circle

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.75.1SF & v. 1.0.2.75.2SF

My script is called slaac that provides stateless IPv6 to my Android devices that don't support DHCPv6. What I did is: I added START=99 and STOP=10 to the script (it has already the start() and stop() and restart() functions so it's ready to go). I inserted a sleep of 12 seconds at the top so...

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.75.1SF & v. 1.0.2.75.2SF

@Voxel I've written a custom script and I'd like it to auto-start at boot as the last service. I know these scripts live in /etc/init.d and /etc/rc.d but I'm unable to make it start as last one. How to achieve this?

[R7800] Will no longer save settings after reboot.

The R7800 will be supported for a long time. It came out in 2016 while the R7000 in 2013 and the latter still gets firmware updates. Both of these models are very popular. I don't think NG will stop unless it is not longer viable to support them, like way too old or some other reason. AC routers...

[SOLVED] Nighthawk X10 "stuck" at 94Mbps

Turn off QoS completely. QoS is only beneficial for speeds less than 250 Mbps. You also didn't tell on what you get that speed. Wired or wireless (or both?) devices?

[R7800] Will no longer save settings after reboot.

I think if the changes are very minor, like using another brand of NAND chips, and no other modifications are made to the circuits layout, NETGEAR won't lable it as a new version/revision

[R7800] Will no longer save settings after reboot.

@verbage Well, I may be wrong, but there's no v2 or v3 revision of the R7800 like there is for some models. I know this because if you go to the support site of NETGEAR, usually if there are revisions, the site asks you to select it (v1, v2, v3, etc). There is no such thing for the R7800 and a...
