    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

But it didn't remove the cron entry - I did it by hand.

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

There weren't any errors. That was why I was surprised to see the script still there. It did say something about doing something in the /var/... something directory. Not sure why it would go there.

    WANFailover Dual WAN Failover Script

So, I just switched ISPs to take advantage of a really good deal, but before dumping the old ISP I wanted to see how the new connection did. Of course, I installed your script. I was a bit baffled by some of the installation questions. Perhaps you could put some decent default values in your...

    ChkWAN - How do I uninstall ChkWAN.sh ?

Thanks - there was - and I would have forgotten it.

    ChkWAN - How do I uninstall ChkWAN.sh ?

Okay. Thanks much for your reply. It's time for me to do a factory reset and reinstall from scratch anyway. That'll do it.

    ChkWAN - How do I uninstall ChkWAN.sh ?

The wiki is here: https://github.com/MartineauUK/Chk-WAN The install process is: curl --retry 3 "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MartineauUK/Chk-WAN/master/ChkWAN.sh" -o "/jffs/scripts/ChkWAN.sh" && chmod 755 "/jffs/scripts/ChkWAN.sh" I'm not thinkin' that's a recipe for uninstall even in reverse.

    ChkWAN - How do I uninstall ChkWAN.sh ?

Thanks, but that somehow seems a bit inelegant, and I'd be assuming some files get left behind, not to mention cron entries. But, if it's a manual job, so be it. Live and learn.

    ChkWAN - How do I uninstall ChkWAN.sh ?

Need to uninstall ChkWAN, and there is nothing about uninstalling in the documentation. Thanks.

Why DNS over TLS is so important, and if you are not using it you should be

Sophisticated router attacks - possibly stopped by DoT? I hope. Arstechnica Article

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 Beta is now available

AX-88/386.7b1: OpenVPN cloud server (openvpn.net) connection with ipv6 enable on router did show (prior to this beta) one of their DNS servers even though DOT was enable, filter was set to router, and "accept dns configuration' was set to disable. Now I am only seeing the DOT listed cloud flare...

Why DNS over TLS is so important, and if you are not using it you should be

So, this thread got me to start looking at DNS in a bit more detail. I thought I was battened down with DNS over TLS and router as filter, but I had installed OpenVPN Cloud (openvpn.net). One of the DNS checkers (top10vpn) picked up the fact that I had a DNS server called MADEIT (MadeIT inc.)...

Why DNS over TLS is so important, and if you are not using it you should be

Thanks for bringing this up. ATT was highjacking me - thought I had it secured. I battened down the hatches, and now it shows we're good. On another subject, what is the IPV6 DNS block on the LAN page? No matter what I put in the block, it ignores (does not even allow it to populate).

Unable to add AiMesh node - AC68U

I'm with JohnD5000 on this - reboot and be patient. Nothing happens instantly with AIMESH. It can be beyond frustrating and really needs some Asus tuning. I use wired back-hauls and I find that "sometimes" I have to pair first with wifi (within a few feet of router), but there is no rhyme nor...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 is now available

AX88/386.5_2: So, I'm pretty happy with 386.5_2, especially since ipv6 seems to be fixed in this series, but I've noticed a possible problem with AImesh units when mixing firmware code units. I have three Aimesh units, an AC88 that I upgraded to Asus 3.0.0.4.386_48260-gd4c241c, and it worked...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 is now available

AX88/386_5: Happy days! After the firmware update and a reboot, the ipv6 native page just populated (ATT fiber). First ipv6 connectivity in months. Very pleased with this release. Thanks Merlin, and Asus! Now my only big gripe - and I know this is an Asus problem - is the difficulty of...

    Ipv6 native or passthrough?

Well I spoke to soon. With the 386.5 upgrade and a reboot, my ax88 ipv6 page (native mode) just populated! Ran 'test-ipv6' on it, and it looks good. Thanks for nudging me into checking it again.

    Ipv6 native or passthrough?

Sorry - didn't see your post. I have an AX88 with ATT fiber and it worked just fine in native mode until the 386.3(?). Can't quite remember what firmware broke it. I keep trying every version in both native and passthrough. It's believe it's been mentioned by Merlin. It's an Asus closed source...

Which router? IPV6 is broken on the AX88. Has been for a while.

    386.5 Alpha1?

AX88 (alpha2) w/ AImesh units (stock 46065): Constantly getting this error. Also, the AImesh units have very few clients (have rebooted each unit). Can someone tell me what this error is? CFG80211-ERROR) wl_cfg80211_change_station : WLC_SCB_AUTHORIZE sta_flags_mask not set I see past threads...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

AX88/386.4_0: The bulbs are KL-130. One is about 10 yards from the house. I do not use guest. I do use an AImesh, and looking at connections, it shows most are connected to an AC68 mesh station and an AC88 mesh station. So that could very well be the difference. I also have in wall switches...
