Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

AX88/386.4_0 (Clean upgrade): I have over twenty TP-Link devices and am not having any problems. Did you set your 2.4 GHz channel manually? If you have AImesh do you have Roaming enabled (it helps when things get reset), and of course airtime fairness and universal beam should be disabled.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

So, AX88/386.4_0 with three AImesh units (connecting is a nightmare). Working great, have 96 clients attached, with wireless set to specific channels (not auto), airtime fairness and universal beam forming disabled. Opted out of all privacy agreements, and have offloaded dns queries to two...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

AX88/Beta3: So everything (except ipv6) was working great so I thought I'd give the DDNS service a spin using asus (which appeared to be working okay), and I immediately started getting internet disconnects. True disconnects. Turned off DDNS and withdrew from the privacy agreement and things are...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

AX88/Beta3: Still no ipv6 (native ATT); everything else is great including aimesh. Tried factory reset just to make sure. Didn't help and OMG is aimesh hard to get back online (listening Asus?). Thanks.

Need a script that auto reboot if internet is down

I'm using CHKWAN, and it's working great. I'm thinking most of the confusion on here is with permissions - people failing to set wan-start to 755 (chmod 755 wan-start). It should probably be added to the github instructions. Also, for the bulk of us, nano is the easiest editor to create...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

These instructions are wrong, at least for the majority of us. There is no way you are going to reboot with a WAN local pihole address unless your isp is providing multiple static addresses and your pihole is routed to an upstream network switch to allow that WAN connection. You must use an...

Nope - not using guest networks.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

My BETA1 was broken for IPv6 on my AX88U - like I said in my report for BETA1, I have everything "vanilla", don't do any DDNS,or anything else "exotic"... Ditto for my AX88/Beta2. Used to run in native from my isp - if I activate it now nothing populates and bad things appear to occur. Running...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

Beta 2/ AX88: Might want to look at the NTP server, and/or NTP 'client intercept to Merlin NTP' code. Had a device that was rock solid take a nose dive yesterday with a 'no ethernet' connection message although it showed the ethernet being connected. Tracked it down to the clock that had decided...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

I assume he used the code that Zastoff had tested: nvram set dns_probe=0;nvram set dns_probe_content='131.107.255.255 112.4.20.71 fd3e:4f5a:5b81::1';nvram commit

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

Okay, it's back, and thanks! Did this, per your instruction: nvram set dns_probe=0;nvram set dns_probe_content=;nvram commit then nvram set dns_probe=0;nvram set dns_probe_content='131.107.255.255 112.4.20.71 fd3e:4f5a:5b81::1';nvram commit No need to reboot - worked immediately.

    [ 386.4 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

Updated RT-AX88U_386.4_alpha3-g092f25da96 from 386.4_alpha2-g952c6bdecc. Now shows 'Internet status: Disconnected.' But, the internet is definitely connected. Played around with the admin/system DNS_Query/Ping per other posts. No joy. Just going to run this way since I see no serious problems in...

    [ 386.4 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

I have three AIMesh routers, one of which is an AX-68U. My main router is using Merlin (alpha 2), but I've always run the AIMesh units with Asus firmware. I'm having no problems with my mesh system using this scheme. Can't really see the point of Merlin on an AImesh unit.

    Ax88 and not getting dcd tainted but, what's this: kernel: CFG80211-ERROR) wl_cfg80211_change_station : WLC_SCB_AUTHORIZE sta_flags_mask not set

    [ 386.4 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

AX-RT88U with 3 older routers (using Asus firmware) in AImesh. Dirty upgrade. Alpha2v2 removed my dhcp assignment list, and did a reformat (apparently) of jffs. No big deal. Reinstalled/reformatted USB, reinstalled amtm apps (only use scribe/ui, disk check, reboot scheduler, and swap). Native...

AiMesh with backhaul via Ethernet over Powerline

I use a powerline ethernet device that allows an old 1750 in aimesh mode to operate in the far corner of my garage. Provides a good signal for garage door and outside smart lights on that end of the house. Works well; backhaul connection says "great." I had to test a few outlets combinations to...

Using 68U and AC86Us with AT&T Fiber Gateway

You just do "passthrough." Google "passthrough on bg210." Lots of info. I'm using it, and on a very good day with fair winds I get 940/940.

    choosing between AX88U and AX82U

I have an 88 and I'm happy with it. It has a quad processor, hardware acceleration, and 1 GB of ram - all are very important if you have lots of devices on your network, and if you have an internet plan >400 Mb. That said, I think the 86u (apparently there is an 86s - much less powerful version)...
