VPN - Can I enable my gaming computer to bypass VPN for gaming

I've setup a VPN client and successfully selected my computer on the lan to be routed through this vpn which is great but is there a way to bypass the VPN and go directly through WAN when I play COD Warzone? I do not want the added latency of going through the VPN when gaming. I've been...

Odd behavior after Upgrading from 384.15 to newest 386.3_2

LOL thanks for the wake up call, I havent touched this router for over a year. I completely forgot that it doesn't boot up on 192.168.1.1 on this one. It comes back on 192.168.50.1 like you said. The issue in the first post still prevails though. Also when I rename the clients in the List...

Odd behavior after Upgrading from 384.15 to newest 386.3_2

I tried the nuclear reset using the WPS button and no matter what I do the IP never defaults to the default IP. When the router reboots, it uses the same IP it was set on the old 384 firmware and the DHCP server is running too because my ethernet card gets assigned the same IP that the DHCP...

I flashed my RT-AX88U to the newest firmware then I restored to initialize the settings, rebooted and then pulled the power plug for 2 minutes and booted the modem. Everything seems to work fine but something is buggy in the "Network Map" screen. When I click on the button with the computer...

AiMesh - 5ghz-2 is now dedicated backhaul after recent firmware? (wired backhaul)

I found my problem. My Astro A50 wireless headset runs on the upper channels of the 5Ghz band but it doesn't use normal WiFi protocol so it was undetected in my site surveys. My mesh system works great now.

    Startup system log question

Below is a part of my startup system log. Everything seems to be running fine but are the 2 "bad block table" lines anything to be concerned with? I'm running the 384.14 merlin firmware on a RT-AX88U. 5:11 kernel: jffs2: version 2.2. (NAND) (SUMMARY) © 2001-2006 Red Hat, Inc. May 5...

    RT-AX88U or AX11000 , newbie needs advice

Im also running a RT-AC5300 in a mesh configuration (wired backhaul) with the AX88U. Its a great modem too, the only downside is its hard to hide with such a large footprint. I ran the AC5300 for a couple years alone with no problems up until a few months ago when I thought one of the 5Ghz bands...

    RT-AX88U or AX11000 , newbie needs advice

I've been running the AX88U since Jan5th 2020. If you discount the issues I had with an unrelated wifi interference (I found the culprit, astro A50 wireless headset), its been rock solid. The firmware does have bugs because I was getting 5Ghz client disconnects too, but since I put unique...

    Cat5 slowing me down?

I see online that cat5 is up to 100Mbps and I'm using cat5 and one other cable I made myself and I'm getting getting 750-800Mbit/sec when doing my tests

[SOLVED] Upper 5Ghz channels unusable at 80Mhz bandwidth

The reason I had the router in my vehicle was to eliminate any interference that I might have had in my house. After several weeks of pulling my hair out I was going to extreme measures. I could not make sense of the fact that even a brand new router was doing the exact same thing while people...
