    Adaptive CAKE QoS

gotcha on the ac86. Ive never seen cake disabled over trend updates. but try "fc disable" in /jffs/scripts/firewall-start

    Adaptive CAKE QoS

Wade, any chance you have a AX router?

    Adaptive CAKE QoS

Ive got to do some more testing on the AX. noticed a weird thing playing with your script this morning. If FC was enabled , speedtests were only showing around 15MBit, the router speedtest showed the full 25. But when I disabled FC. speedtests jumped right up. Wth would cause that with the...

    Adaptive CAKE QoS

slooooow, i was just testing tins. only 25Mbit here

    Adaptive CAKE QoS

seems to work as intended, even on the AX.

    Adaptive CAKE QoS

ill play around. I can seldom use the classification tab. Always says disable to many connections.

    Adaptive CAKE QoS

I trust you enough I did this test while my wife was netflixing. My life was literally in your hands. So far im still around. As per our previous convos once I disabled flowcache on the AX86, flex-qos started working perfect. Ill have to play around with that. Not going to push it to much...

RT AX86U - Help me improving my latency please! Bufferbloat?

on the ax yes. The ax does something different. Disabling FC only allows the iptables you can add in flexqos work also. Believe me i spent WAY to much time screwing around with a router to find that out.

RT AX86U - Help me improving my latency please! Bufferbloat?

disabling flowcache lets qos work correctly, and bufferbloat is fine now. This only needs done on my AX86, the ac86 works fine period

How to get status of aimesh nodes from command line?

A reboot doesnt help? only time I had issues with nodes going offline when the distance/obstructions were questionable. Even though signal showed great most the time.

How to get status of aimesh nodes from command line?

You know you can run a script with crontab on the nodes just like the main router. Maybe something like #!/bin/bash ping -c1 192.168.50.1 > /dev/null if [ $? -eq 0 ] then echo ok exit 0 else reboot

RT AX86U - Help me improving my latency please! Bufferbloat?

I get that, i run merlin. I also just yesterday installed the latest stock firmware on the AX and still had the same issue. But to downgrade I have to go through a tft[ recovery process which I dont have time for atm. I purchased my AX before 386 came out, and have tested pretty much every...

RT AX86U - Help me improving my latency please! Bufferbloat?

The issue happens on stock firmware also, so Id probably need to backup on stock to test also @RMerlin just uses the gpls they send him, which he has know control of the issue at hand since most (all) that part is closed source.

RT AX86U - Help me improving my latency please! Bufferbloat?

I can run the test 100 times, or use different test sites and have the same end results.

RT AX86U - Help me improving my latency please! Bufferbloat?

Adaptive qos with manual bandwidth settings on the AX86, Flowcache enabled/disabled.. Just playing around with it again to see if itll ever be as good as the AC86
  16. R

RT AX86U - Help me improving my latency please! Bufferbloat?

No settings work for bufferbloat on the AX, its not rocket science. Adjust manual bandwidth.
  17. R

RT AX86U - Help me improving my latency please! Bufferbloat?

I change back and forth between a AX86 and AC86 as the main router. Nothing (besides using cake) fixes bufferbloat on the AX86. I get C or D bufferbloat on dsl reports with the AX, the AC gets A+ with same settings..

    FlexQoS Asus Merlin and Flexqos

gotcha, well if you didnt see above, at least disabling flowcache will fix the iptables rule, and wont affect you with those speeds.

    FlexQoS Asus Merlin and Flexqos

@dezzm5 I questioned that also, but from the testing i did, and its kind of a pain. Basically seeing if something I have set as lower priority overpowers the high priority. Since graphs dont work, i used iftop from command line . And far as I can tell it does. Meaning the iptables rules dont...

    FlexQoS Asus Merlin and Flexqos

@dave14305 just a fyi it does not affect local (I should have known that as it would have shown when using cake). Ill probably be putting the AC86u back as the main. Im sure i gain nothing using the AX86u as main other then the mental thing of wanting the newest as first. When using the AX86u...
