Hacker has remote control over my devices

@whippoorwill do you have WAN access to your main router, the AX88U I suppose, enabled? Do you have AiCloud service enabled on AX88U?

    Solved Need Clarification

@eibgrad I wonder if there's a third party solution similar to AiCloud that could be maintained and updated independently in a debootstapped environment? In particular, I like AiCloud's feature of sharing links to media files and would like to continue using it. I've been experimenting with...

    Solved Need Clarification

Does this mean there's no way to use any other server except a dated lighttpd for AiCloud on EOL models?

    [rt-ac86u] very easy to brick

Maybe it's "ne" not "n e" because "e" erases the NAND, and the are no spaces in CFE commands shown by "help". Anyways, the trial and error might be the best approach for you to find a way to recheck the NAND for bad blocks from CFE, imho.

    [rt-ac86u] very easy to brick

These are the commands available on Here are the commands availabe in CFE on one of my devices: Here is what happens when the command 'b' is entered: As it can be seen CFE offers to enter a code from the list corresponding to board id.

RT-AC86U: "PCP MAP: failed to add mapping TCP" error every 15 minutes

The references provided in your post #7 make perfect sense to me now: «Client software that just wishes to display the user's external IP address for cosmetic purposes can achieve that by requesting a short-lived mapping (e.g., to the Discard service (TCP/9 or UDP/9) or some other port) and then...

RT-AC86U: "PCP MAP: failed to add mapping TCP" error every 15 minutes

    I don't think it's a problem. Discard protocol uses port 9.

RT-AC86U: "PCP MAP: failed to add mapping TCP" error every 15 minutes

I would want to keep the default settings of miniupnpd not allowing mapping of privileged ports in general, but to map just one privileged port to get rid of «PCP MAP: failed to add mapping TCP 9» message. I just don't know how this task might be possible to accomplish with web UI alone without...

Just to get gid of «PCP MAP: failed to add mapping TCP 9» message. Thank you for your prompt reply.

RT-AC86U: "PCP MAP: failed to add mapping TCP" error every 15 minutes

Do you mean these settings? But what if all ports below 1024 need to remain blocked except for just one?

RT-AC86U: "PCP MAP: failed to add mapping TCP" error every 15 minutes

You need to try it and see if it works for you, imho. Instead of 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0 you need to use the IP of your dhcp server and the mask for your network.

How do you block the DNS of a device

I suppose this association/disassociation stuff originates in Asus AiMesh technology. I presume the system of nodes can't decide which of them the wifi switch/plug should connect to. I think there should be a way to manually configure which node the switch should be connected to (though I've...

How do you block the DNS of a device

Do you mean that members of your family need access to IoT devices in the house from WAN (for example to control the rooms while they're not at home)?

How do you block the DNS of a device

You assume that IoT devices don't allow to choose DNS server (have DNS server hardwired in the firmware), right?

How do you block the DNS of a device

The main purpose of Skynet, imho, is to block Internet traffic (internet IP's, domains, ranges, ASN's). I presumed (but never tested yet) that if one blocks local (LAN) IP address with Skynet, all local communications with that IP will be blocked.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

I personally had problems with diversion with its pixelserv-tls server and dsd process. I removed diversion with pixelserv-tls and switched to AdGuardHome to resolve the conflict. Folks on this forum also say that flexqos may cause trouble. I would recommend removing one addon at a time until...
