Solved YazFi Not Isolating Guest Network for Plex?

No worries - I wasn't expecting a response. I figured I needed to do some digging once you sent me down the right path.

Solved YazFi Not Isolating Guest Network for Plex?

I didn't quite understand @Jack Yaz's comment about indirect traffic and Plex. After some more reading on Plex's support pages, I now realize that Plex can use their servers as a relay as a workaround for remote access. This effectively changes the server access to an external IP to the network...

Solved YazFi Not Isolating Guest Network for Plex?

I'll start with the Plex issue to provide some context. I've been trying to troubleshoot an issue that I have with a Plex server that I'm running in a docker on a Synology NAS and I ran across what seems like strange behavior from my YazFi networks. The problem that I have with the Plex Server...

Solved How do I Isolate Devices to LAN only

Trying to isolate certain devices on my network to LAN-only access. It looks like the Network Services filter is the best option for doing so, but I don't see a straight-forward way to make devices LAN-only. Restricting access to port 80 would be a decent start, but would prefer a more...

    VPN Server Setup and Settings

I recently activated VPN server in my RT-AX3000 so that I can access my internal network while away, as needed. I defaulted to the 'General' setting for 'VPN Details', but am curious if I would be better served tweaking some of the default settings. Is there any advantage to changing the...

AI Mesh Node Drops Offline - Constant DHCPREQUEST and DHCPACK messages

I'm using Auto for the channel. I previously had manual channels selected, but didn't see a noticeable difference when I moved to a new place where other WiFi networks aren't an issue.

AI Mesh Node Drops Offline - Constant DHCPREQUEST and DHCPACK messages

Used DHCP reservation and that seemed to fix the issue. The drop that I noted after the DHCP reservation may actually have been a power outage. Ultimately, switching the AIMesh node to AP mode is what produced the best results in terms of throughout and stability. But this was only possible...

RT-AX3000 is junk unless you hardcode network settings

Another happy RT-AX3000 user here. More devices on my network than yours and also have an RT-AC68U AP. If you've truly done complete reset of your configuration and have issues there, then it may be time to contact Asus to RMA the device.

vpnmgr vpnmgr - Manage and update VPN Client configurations for NordVPN and PIA

Not sure how you like to receive feature requests, but it would be great to have the option to have the VPN monitored for connectivity and reconnect any time the VPN connection drops but the WAN connection is still active. Perhaps by having a VPN fallover option. I've had issues in the past...

    YazFi YazFi v4.x

Installed htop - much nicer tool indeed. I'm generally seeing YazFiconnectedclients service start utilizing ~-2-5% CPU according to htop CPU% column. But the processors listed up top show a much larger utilization (in line with Asus GUI) of around 25-70% of Cores 1 and 2.

    YazFi YazFi v4.x

I don't know enough about how top works, but the data I'm seeing is pretty baffling. YazFi doesn't seem to consume even 1% of CPU according to top (even when on the YazFi GUI page with clients refreshing), which is very different from the utilization displayed on the router GUI. Speed tests...

    YazFi YazFi v4.x

Did a quick test similar to the test I did on 4.3.1 and I'm actually getting worse performance on the develop branch. VPN throughput is ~15-18% slower when on the YazFi GUI page with the clients refreshing. VPN throughput is nominal when off the page or clients refresh is deselected. This...

    YazFi YazFi v4.x

On my side - all my Guest clients have names. But I only have 5 devices connected currently.

    YazFi YazFi v4.x

Here's the behavior I'm seeing: 1. CPU utilization appears generally normal in the develop branch - definitely no spiking occurring every 5 seconds in excess of 15% on Cores 1 and 2. Generally stays below 10% on both. 2. Navigating to the YazFi GUI starts the spiking that was exhibited in 4.3.1...

You're a busy man! Long overdue but donation sent your way.

    YazFi YazFi v4.x

Did some quick testing (just two rounds of speedtests with YazFi Monitor Enabled and Disabled) and I'm seeing ~8-10% reduction in throughput when YazFi Monitor is enabled when downloading through VPN (which is how my IoT and Guest Networks are configured).

    YazFi YazFi v4.x

Lots of users of your script with different use cases, but I'll provide my input and defer to you on design direction. Given the CPU loading that's currently exhibited with YazFi Monitor constantly refreshing clients, if given the option, I would likely leave the client refresh in the GUI set...

    YazFi YazFi v4.x

Is it possible to make the toggle setting for refreshing clients stick so that the refresh can be disabled? Webui would refresh clients any time the YazFi page is loaded and then periodic client refresh would only occur if the toggle is active?
