    AC3200 and 2.4Ghz issues

Try 384.6 alpha. Has updated wireless drivers for AC3200 AFAIK. Works as well as Asus stock for me now.

[Preview] Early Asuswrt-Merlin 384.6 test builds are available

My AC3200 2.4GHz issues from 384.5 seem to have been resolved with the new drivers of 384.6alpha. I am very happy about that and returned to Merlin after a brief period on latest Asus stock firmware. I use mine as an access point (main router is Fios quantum router) but have it in router mode...

    Anyone try Alpha 384.6

@RMerlin: Would you be willing to use updated drivers like this person did https://www.snbforums.com/threads/significant-update-to-2-4ghz-issue-at-least-on-ac3200.47242/#post-413131 I would like to move my ac3200 back from latest Asus stock to Merlin, but 2.4GHz-related problems are preventing...

Could you share your build please?

Significant update to 2.4ghz issue (at least on AC3200)

Yesterday after too much frustration I also went from Merlin 384.5 to Asus Version 3.0.0.4.382.50624 on my AC3200. Did not perform factory reset so it kept relevant settings. Works perfectly @ 2.4GHz now unlike 384.5. Asus, please Open-source 50624. If I have to choose between Merlin features...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

Does this pertain to an AC3200 or another Asus router? Thanks. This really tempts me to go back to Merlin on my AC3200 with control channel at 7.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

On my AC3200 with 384.5 I had lots of trouble connecting wifi devices on the 2.4GHz band (have separate SSIDs for 2.4, 5-1 & 5-2). Downgrading to 384.3 did not help either. Fiddled with Professional 2.4GHz settings, turned off airtime fairness etc. to no avail. In despair, I flashed the latest...

    384_4 Broke my AC3200

Most Ac3200 people on this forum, including myself, went back to 384.3 and many reported good results (2.4GHz wireless working again). Now my question is whether 384.5 is going to be good on our AC3200s.

    AC-3200 384 Firmware issues??

Going back from 384.4_2 to 384.3 has helped my AC3200. It is worth trying.

    RT-AC3200 Current Official Firmware Thread (3.0.0.4.382.50624, 180601)

Me too, went back to 3.0.0.4.382_19466 -based Merlin 384.3 on my AC3200, ok hopefully. Asus, please fix it w/o introducing additional bugs.

AC-3200 384.4 Update WiFi Connectivity Issue

Also went back to 384.3 on my AC3200 from 384.4_2 due to 2.4GHz AC8260 Intel wifi refusing to connect.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

reverted my AC3200 to 384.3 hopefully will fix the terrible 2.4GHz wifi. Can the AC3200 be reverted to 380.x via the recovery procedure?

    My 2018 Wish-List for Asuswrt-Merlin

Feature requests: - Ability to turn off WAN & still use VPN server. At the moment VPN server will not start until WAN is up. Current workaround is static WAN ip with fake address. - Ability for guest network to access limited LAN IP range. In my guest network I allow access to 192.168.0.16/29...

    dnsmasq option 121 249 DHCPINFORM

Sorry accidentally posted this to Asus Wireless before. I have an AC3200 on 384.4 with OpenVPN server. It is not DHCP server on my LAN for the purposes of handing out IP addresses. But I would like to configure dnsmasq to provide static routes in response to DHCPINFORM requests...

Which user script is called when in Access Point mode?

Great request, my RT-AC3200 is functionally an access point but runs in router mode to allow all the goodies to be used: guest network with access to some LAN resources (printers, Google ChromeCast ), 6in4 tunnel & OpenVPN servers. Lots of tweaking required to get it to work well.

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

Same here. My VPN worked much better before. My asus Beta 3 in router mode is not my main internet gateway and does not serve DHCP to the LAN, but runs OpenVPN server. There is asymmetric routing where packets from VPN clients to LAN travel directly from Asus to LAN whereas packets back from LAN...

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

I have FIOS (ipv4-only Internet provider) and am running the tunnel broker (Hurricane Electric) for ipv6 on my ac3200 384.4beta. Works great for my LAN windows PCs, which I have set to favor ipv4 (full speed no tunnel overhead) while giving them the option to access ipv6-only sites via HE.net...

AsusWRT 384.4 beta 2 VPN Server question

Hi, I am using my AC3200 running latest 384.4 beta as as secondary router. In router mode so I can use goodies like guest network, IPv6 tunnel broker and OpenVPN server not available in access point mode. Here is my topology: Fios router to Internet, 192,168.0.1/24, does DHCP. AC3200 connected...

[alpha] Early preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66

My rt-ac3200 is working satisfactorily on 380.64. I am planning to wait for 380.66. Should i install 380.65v4 in the meantime or is it most likely going to be fine from .64 to .66 directly? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
