    WAN Status Always 'Not Connected'

    No matter what I try for WAN sensing - DNS Probe / Ping / Disable - WAN status is always 'disabled'. Is there anything I can try or look at to isolate the isssue?

    Wouldn't it be nice to have some sort of image backup facility. I wonder if this is possible. Copying files back always borks something like permissions. Imaging would be so much better. Can't JFFS already be backed up to a TAR file?

    Changed to TUN from TAP and it's working, and only an issue for *that* OS (even the Linx Mint VM on the same PC works fine (by it's own IP address). So it's something to do with TAP. It was assigning from DHCP in the same main 168.1.x range if that means anything. It was working with TAP...

    Yep did that. I can connect to another PC via VPN and from home, and to the PC from home, but not via VPN. Odd... I tried with the firewall disabled too.

    Sounds like the Nokia disease. Eventually had too many devices out to properly support. I hope Asus don't fall in to this 'target every segment' trap which just translates to 'spread thin with poorly supported products'.

    Why won't a company like Asus just release the source then when they can get free help? I've never understood this. It's not like releasing say AIMesh will impact intellectual property or would it.. Unless AIMesh software IS their IP. But the rest? I don't get it.
