    In my fantasy world I could map or somehow graphically represent the IDS events by country or other criteria. Ports scanned, when etc... Any way to filter out the noise too.. I suspect a lot of it is just noise. But an Excel pivot table could do a lot quite easily with structured data...

    Reset everything back to default, factory reset, set it all back to up and leave on auto with the correct region set. Then test with one device at a time while all others are powered off. Do this from the same room and then a larger distance. Monitor the radio radar screen or whatever it is...

    16GB old usb drive here, 1GB swap yet it only ever seems to use max 20MB or so of Swap... Why not just use one partition for the whole USB stick? I don't see any need to partition it.

    I think offloading to an external device like a PC is the way to go. There may even be Linux tools around that can be used with a Linux install or bootable Linux disc.
