Thanks Colin for the heads up on the new dev build 41EA. FTP works like a charm. Thank you John for your great fork!! Life is so demanding in many ways and these small joys you give to this community really means quite a bit. Also a big shout out to all the members here who keep helping as best...

Installed 41E3 and FTP server functioning correctly on the AC68U. Guess that's as far as I can go on the dev builds for now if I want to keep using FTP on the router. Thanks to John for posting the last dev build based upon OpenSSL 1.0 on his dev site.

Thank you Colin for the quick check...I learned something new today in telnet :) Went back to 41E8 and same issue so I took Dave's advice and tried 40ED and bingo FTP server is working now. I'm assuming the recompile broke something. Thanks to both of you for helping me out. Cheers

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I've upgraded to the test build 41e9 on my AC68U and now I can no longer connect to the FTP server via the LAN or WAN. I keep getting the following error in filezilla Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server". which seems to tell me that the ftp server isn't...

Thanks very much Colin. Excellent suggestions and the Redhat site is a good start. Somehow I missed that site among the thousand pages I googled. Cheers

Thanks Colin. The message is happening continuously which is why it's so weird. I just can't understand why it's doing this. I have a 75 down 15 up connection with a big pipe at work so speed shouldn't be an issue. TCP/443 is used in order for me to get around some of the protocol and port...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Hi Everyone. I'm running an AC68U with John's latest official fork and I've noticed the following message in my logs kernel: TCP: Possible SYN flooding on port 443. Sending cookies. I know this is happening as soon as I connect to my AC68U OpenVPN server from my remote computer using the latest...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I'm wondering if there's a simple way to disconnect a single user from the OpenVPN server on the FORK without restarting the whole daemon and kicking everyone off. I've researched the use of a management interface but I'm not sure if that would apply to the ASUS Fork implementation. Thanks for...

@ColinTaylor I installed the packages many months ago using the GIThub howto setup by Merlin. Everything worked perfect until I tried to update to the latest firmware WITHOUT unmounting the USB...bad idea but I got lazy :) Looked in the logs but couldn't find anything. I've been scratching my...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Hi, I upgraded to the latest Fork and after the reboot the transmission daemon won't start. Even a manual command from the CLI using putty gives me the same error. I can see all the drives attached to the router and can connect via WINSCP and see the sda1 and sda2 partitions with no issues...

Interesting. NVRAM usage is at 83% and very basic names and passwords used. I guess it's time for a factory reset after doing an NVRAM backup using your software tool. Will definitely tell me if something has gone wrong with the router one way or the other. Thanks again for checking.
