    User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility (R26.2)

I can confirm that after moving my settings from an AC66U to an AC68U there were no issues with the migration. All settings migrated great and it came up like a champ! Great work John:)

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Updated my AC66U to version 20E9 from 20E3. Everything seems ok but I just noticed that my NVRM usage is at 76%. I'm only running transmission, SMB and FTP services with 3 people..I also have a couple of lines added to start and post mount scripts in JFFS. Is this percentage ok or will I start...

Creating Static Routes with MAN interface

Hi Everyone, I'm creating some static routes on my AC66U and AC68U using the GUI interface under the LAN option. I'm wondering what the MAN interface is and what it would be used for. I understand the LAN and WAN parts but the MAN has me stumped as it usually infers some sort of metro network...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Thanks John. Did the update and everything appeared ok except the Tools/System Info page looks very different from my AC66U device I have. Looks like a text addon and not part of the GUI. Also doesn't display temps and time up. See attached for example. Thanks very much. EDIT: Resolved. Did a...

    VPN question

Further to the original posters questions perhaps the settings listed below can be explained further as I found no information to allow me to understand what they do. Interface type = if I choose TUN and then select Respond to DNS enabled will VPN clients be able to resolve hostnames on the...

    voip.ms

There is no need to forward any ports on the router. My parents had the exact same issue with Bell FIBE and their AC66U and what I ended up doing was factory resetting the ATA SPA 112 and applying the latest firmware from cisco's site. Hope this works.

    Transmission...for Asuswrt/Merlin

Wow that plugin looks very cool. That would be a great add on to my AC-66u if it was compiled for mipsel. Look forward to your development if you proceed. Thanks

    User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility (R26.2)

Just a quick FYI on my AC-66u running 17E5. When doing the restore the options in Samba for guest login access and FTP server we're still disabled despite having been enabled when doing the nvram backup. No biggie but thought you might want to know. Cheers

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Hi John....when doing a firmware upgrade does your upgrade process look at legacy nvram variables that are no longer needed and remove them or is a factory reset required to purge old values. Thanks

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Well I decided to unmount the device and do a file and disk check under Ubuntu. I checked each partition one at a time and it found a minor problem under the ext3 partition which it fixed. Plugged the drive back into the router, powered on the router and voila all is well with both partitions...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I seem to be having issues with a SAMBA share on an NTFS partition coming back and being visible under windows after a router reboot. I have to go into the SAMBA share on the router and disable/enable the guest login option for the share to appear and be accessible. Partition sda1 is ext3 and...

    where entware packages gone?

I noticed when running the opkg it tells me that this feed for entware is no longer supported effective October 2015. It wants me to update to entware-ng with a URL it lists upon completion. Is this something we/I need to do with my AC-66U router as I run transmission and other basic scripts...
