    RT-AC68U new firmware 3.0.0.4.384_20624-g14d2f02

First gen ac68u. I have to roll back the firmware to 384.20308 for media bridge to work properly again. media bridge on later firmware seems to work for a short while, and start experiencing issue. When trying to connect to the ac68u via the ip address, it will take a while but end up loading...

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.20308 for All Supported Products

I think invest on a newer router like ac86u is a better option but it depends on your budget and what you do with the router. If ac68u is enough to cover your house, maybe it's even a better choice to buy 86u and sell 68u ;p

[AC3100 main & 3xAC68 nodes] Issues with AiMesh Dropping Connections

I dont use wired backhaul, only wireless. For the 2 days I tested, I do think 20648 is working out better, but as I posted in other thread, it's pain in the butt to get ac68 to work with ac3100 now. Have to wait till Asus update he ac3100 firmware. For now I am back to merlin and use media...

    [Preview 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 early test builds

if I remember correctly, P and U is just the identifier used for different vendor, like bestbuy, not really anything different in hardware/software. Since you already roll the CFE back, not much to be done there, but try to check CPU usage if you try the next build.

    [Preview 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 early test builds

it's completely different device you talking here. AC86U TM-AC1900 - that people flash and hack into AC68u AC68U you should not have try to flash CFE to ac86

AiProtection - Do I really need it?

Since it's not clear what ai-protection catches, I would check to see if you are on the latest firmware on both devices. To me, ai-protection is nice bonus for those IoT devices where either manufacture lack of support or user do not check update regularly.

Why Asus ? why did you block AIMESH on TM-AC1900?

err what? TM-AC1900 is supposed to be supported by T-mobile due to their closed and custom firmware. T-mobile suck @ keeping it up to date. People found a way to hack it and pretty sure they all have disclaimer that it's not officially supported. then T-mobile flush TM-AC1900 the market to get...

    ai-mesh compatibility issue between ac3100(20379) & AC68U(20624)

as I said in other post, I do see that on uncle's router but I I have no knowledge on that as I did not buy that router for ai-mesh for my uncle. I dont want people to rush and buy those, then later come blame me for things not working. Just like some people will blame asus for what t-mobile...

interesting result that I actually get it to work now. sum up on the test I have done so far. 1 ac3100 @ 20379, ac68u @ 20624 (tried couple times, repeatable) unable to find ac68u and it takes forever for spinning circle on search for nodes. 2. ac3100 @ 20379, ac68u @ 20308 (tried couple...

apparently, it has been available for quite a while, marketing fail I guess ;p (or is it not officially support yet? I can't say for sure) there is different between ac66u and ac66u b1. ac66u is different hardware while b1 share hardware and code with new ac68u...
