    Does T-Mobile/ASUS TM-AC1900 (RT-AC68U) Support Merlin?

If Merlin were to actually use the TMobile CFE 2.1.2.2, your router would become firmware locked to TMobile firmwares only. I don't think Merlin would use the TMobile CFE but that's just a guess.

    Does T-Mobile/ASUS TM-AC1900 (RT-AC68U) Support Merlin?

As long as you don't go to one of the newer Asus firmwares (376.3626) that updates the CFE automatically (based on your current CFE), you'll be fine. If Merlin throws in automatic updating, you could potentially run into same issue as using a newer Asus firmware (not sure what Merlin's plans...

    AC1900/AC68U Problems

So no power light on first one and only a USB light on 2nd one? Flashing Tomato typically won't brick an Asus because of restoration mode. Pulling a copy of the CFE off and placing on a USB stick does nothing to the router. No reason to cause any issues. There's got to be something...

    AC1900/AC68U Problems

Have you tried to reset the NVRAM on either? Power off (wait about 10 seconds) Press and hold the WPS button Power back on while holding the WPS button continuously for 15-20 seconds

    Need help to flash CFE

I wrote this guide using hggomes RT-N66 guide. It was written for the TMobile TM-AC1900 unit, which is exactly the same hardware as the RT-AC68U. Should work exactly the same way. http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=73690012&postcount=3895

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.3813

Not sure how many people have installed this firmware but the 'lack of' complaints makes me wonder if it's good (or just not many people installing it and are waiting for Merlin's version)! :D

surprising AC68U range improvement with Vaesel's CFE and nvram edits

Hey, I get a little credit for that post too! :p :D Thanks for posting. I'm now tempted to play with the CFE and settings from the posted link! :)

    N66U flashing Tomato Shibby

Actually, Tomato ARM by Shibby is a port off of the Asus firmwares (directly from Shibby) which was a port off of the original Tomato. One giant circle, lol! :P

ASUS RT-AC68U firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.3762 out in Japan

It shows 3762 when I click on the link and select firmware. 3715 is listed below the 3762 version. It does, however, state that 3762 is only for use in Japan and that the worldwide version would be released in early 2015.

    Asus Web page redirect

As Steve stated, TMobile provides this router (TM-AC1900) free to their subscribers (on a lease like basis - have to return if you leave them). It's the same hardware as an Asus RT-AC68U and has been flashed by many people in firmware and bootloader to make it a full RT-AC68U. It was, at one...

    New AC68 Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.376.3626

I put together a guide using HGGOMES's RT-N66 guide on CFE flashing. It was written for the TMobile version of this router but the basics are the same. http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=70991738&postcount=2576

    New AC68 Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.376.3626

No, that currently is the latest Merlin edition for that router.

    iOS 8.1 performance

Anyone with issues update to 8.1.1 and had these issues resolved? (more curious than anything as my daughter's iPhone 5C on 8.1 seems to have random disconnect issues).

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

On Asus routers, yet. Not all routers have (or had) recovery such as the Asus. In years past, you flashed a firmware and if you killed it, a JTAG was the only way to recover. This is no different with the CFE possibility of failure. The way I see it, Asus is taking a chance of flashing the...

How to flash cfe ? ABC

By the way, what does 1.0.1.6 have (or not have) that 1.0.2.0 doesn't (or does)?

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

CFE updates, while potentially hazardous, are no more so than flashing 3rd party firmwares of just a few years past, but I do understand and take responsibility for doing so. Oh, and chickens! :D

How to flash cfe ? ABC

Not mad, lol...but confused. Where does the 1.0.1.8 come into play when you still read 1.0.2.0 after flashing? Did you download 1.0.2.0 and think that you had downloaded 1.0.1.6? Regardless, it worked. I guess you're on 1.0.1.6 now? Did that fix your wireless issues (5GHz)?

How to flash cfe ? ABC

Hmm....I still think that Asus is doing something on the mtd-write command (using the new one instead of the one on the USB stick) although I have no way to prove that (and I could be wrong, lol! :P). I'm hoping someone else could jump in here with more experience and do a better job than I...

How to flash cfe ? ABC

Don't know if it makes a difference, but how did you erase NVRAM? Did you unplug the router, press and hold the WPS button, plug the router back in while holding the WPS button and then hold the WPS button for about 10-15 more seconds? Also, after going to the tmp folder on your USB stick with...
