How to flash cfe ? ABC

When you ran the mtd-write command, did you change to the folder (directory) that contained the mtd-write that you downloaded? Also, I'm assuming that you only had one version of the mtd-write on there at a time and didn't rename it (doesn't seem to run if you rename it)?

How to flash cfe ? ABC

So when you ran the mtd-write command, it took a few seconds and then returned to the prompt (at which point you rebooted and did an NVRAM reset)? By the way, did you download and use the mtd-write versions from the guide that I linked and there is no way that the version included with the BETA...

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

I see the TMobile CFE 2.1.2.2 in there. I know it locked down the firmwares on the TMobile branded Asus RT-AC68U's so that ONLY TM branded firmwares could be used. That along with the ability to update the firmware on those units remotely takes the ability of the user to update their firmware...

    iOS 8.1 performance

I don't have an answer but after reading around the Apple forums (and getting complaints from my wife and kids losing connection here at home), I think there is something wrong with IOS 8.x. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6546549?start=1&tstart=0

    Asus AC68U dead

From my experience in life, it would be hardware. Most electronic failures that I've seen in my life happen very early in the cycle (within a few weeks) or after a LONG time (many years). Usually no in-between. I suspect that the hardware was marginal and the power cycle killed it. I had a...

    All pages redirect to 192.168.1.1

Does it eventually work if you wait a little while? Also, you can go to your router's GUI, go to WAN and then set the following: Redirect to error page: NEVER This will simply result in the page timing out (in case of no DNS) and not go to the router's GUI (forcing a login).

    How can I downgrade T-Mobile cellspot TM-AC1900?

Here is the first guide (with more detailed links) from SD: http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=70991738&postcount=2576 JSquare's guide seems to be more simple to follow but you'll need to dig around for the links on your own.

    Dead RT-N16U ?

The reason that I'm on this forum is because I bought one of the TMobile routers (TM-AC1900) and started looking at the RT-AC68U stuff. What got me to buy the TM-AC1900 is that my 4 year old RT-N16 died. It goes to recovery mode and no amount of flashing will get it out. Even using RS232...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

No. I closed all browsers. I replicated the error right after I saw that post by rebooting my modem and closing all browsers before the reboot actually took place. I then went to Yahoo and of course, was greeted by the login page. I proceeded to login and then went to the router interface...

You're welcome. With that said, shouldn't the redirect on error have turned off once the WAN came back up?

    Does T-Mobile/ASUS TM-AC1900 (RT-AC68U) Support Merlin?

    1. Backup your original CFE to your USB stick. 2. Unmount the USB stick and take to a PC to edit. 3. Download and install the Hex editor to edit the file. 4. Download and extract the CFE (either 2.1.2.1 TM version or other Asus version linked in the guide) to the USB stick (this will be...

    Does T-Mobile/ASUS TM-AC1900 (RT-AC68U) Support Merlin?

Did you download the new CFE and place it onto your USB stick (i.e. new_cfe.bin) was on the USB stick? Since I've not done this myself, I'll have to dig around to those that have to get an ideal of what to look for. I asked the question from someone at SD and received this:

    Does T-Mobile/ASUS TM-AC1900 (RT-AC68U) Support Merlin?

Coded into the firmware. You change to an Asus firmware and all that stuff goes away (especially if you change to an Asus CFE).

    Does T-Mobile/ASUS TM-AC1900 (RT-AC68U) Support Merlin?

The TMobile QOS settings are hard coded to give WiFi calling the best possible service, from what I understand. As for CFE vs firmware, I would do CFE first, NVRAM reset and then firmware followed by another NVRAM reset.

OK, found it. Looked in the logs after rebooting and found out that the redirect on error (Link or Wan) was turned on. After the connection came up, it seems that the redirect stayed on. I disabled it and the pages now load correctly. Log just for kicks: Oct 15 18:07:50 WAN Connection...
