AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

The problem actually arises only when I use the ad block script. If I disable it, it goes away, and comes back when I enable it.

I didn't find something like that in the blocking file.

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

I've always had this problem with whatsapp which happens after I haven't used my phone for a while. I get notified by Whatsapp that "You may have new messages." I will have to turn off the WiFi or switch to mobile data before I can see the messages. I disabled this script 3 days ago and Whatsapp...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

For some reason my https traffic is getting collected against 0x8014, not 0x8013. So, I've had to change this line in FreshJR's script: ${tc} filter add dev br0 protocol all prio 22 u32 match mark 0x80130000 0xc03f0000 flowid ${Web} to: ${tc} filter add dev br0 protocol all prio 22 u32...

Is it possible to block the facebook app from accessing the internet ? I can block access to the website but the app still connects to the internet.

I did the changes myself. You can check the private conversation I had with you in the past for a pastebin file. Compare it with the one I posted today and you'll see.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

If you can recall, most of my unidentified traffic when downloading was collected against 0x8014 in earlier firmwares. They are now identified against 0x8013 in 382.2

Mine is 1.200 (I'm on firmware 380.69) and it gets identified as Net Control Packets.

Well, then, that's exactly what I'm talking about. Is there a way to reclassify traffic ? Check this other download: http://oxygenos.oneplus.net.s3.amazonaws.com/OnePlus5Oxygen_23_OTA_028_all_1801031502_109fde3709984ec8.zip This should go under "Web Traffic"

Can you download this file (https://drive.google.com/uc?id=18CnyqnxlVpLj1qTdt1I5RIhTBi2Uy4xn&export=download) and tell me which category it falls under in QoS statistic page ?

That firmware version does not exist for my device (AC68U). I'm back to v380.67 where things work fine. I hope FreshJR will take a look at my issue.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

I am downloading files using internet download manager and the download manager on my web browser. In fact, no traffic gets directed into the "File Transfer" container. Presently, the internet is unusable when someone is downloading something. I'm going to return back to the previous firmware.

Thanks for your reply. I'm currently on Merlin 382_2. All my downloads get categorized either as "Web Surfing" or "Net Control Packets" and as a result they talk the highest priority. https://pastebin.com/CueyUxP4

I've been using v1.9 of your script and it has been working well until I updated to Merlin v382. I used the script you provided above, but every download now gets identified as Net Control Packets and so gets the highest priority. Is there something you can do about it ?

Downloading a file with https link does not get identified as file transfer

At least, yours doesn't get the highest priority and wreck havoc. Edit : Maybe a third person can post his/her result?

Downloading a file with https link does not get identified as file transfer

But why give encrypted traffic the highest priority ?
  20. M

Downloading a file with https link does not get identified as file transfer

When adaptive QoS is enabled, downloading a file with http link (http://.....) gets identified correctly as a file transfer. However, download a file with https link (https://.....) does not get identified as a file transfer. Instead, it gets identified as a SSL/TLS traffic, and this gives it...
