    [Release 380/Legacy] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.70 is now available

Working great on my RT-AC88U for two days now. Thank you!

    [Beta 380/Legacy] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.70 Beta is available

I generally never install betas, but I do intend to run this on my RT-AC88U until some of the issues with the 384 code base get ironed out. I'm a big fan of the stability of the current 380 code base, and so is everyone who connects through my router...

End of year 2017 development update

With 382.x now dead and the 384.3 pre-release test builds out there, where does the 380.69_2 update fall in the schedule now?

[Beta 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 Beta is now available

I, for one, intend to stay with the 380 branch as long as possible. The amount of control that Merlin has to customize this branch exceeds that of the 382 branch, making it superior in several areas. Really glad to have at least one more 380 update for my RT-AC88U, and hope there will be more...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Just checked my Downloads folder and it appears I had initially set it up this way with V26E3 (after dusting it off a bit), updated it successfully to V26E4 (which also required a manual reboot of the router after the update had completed). Pretty sure I didn't imagine the configuration as...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

After upgrading my RT-N66U to V27E5, it wouldn't come back up after manually powering down and back on (per the instructions after the firmware upgrade had completed). So, I did a factory reset and proceeded to re-configure it in Repeater mode. However, I'm certain that I had previously set it...

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

I have an RT-AC88U, and I do see the Ethernet ports. Unfortunately, only four are displayed - with a scroll bar that I have to use to see the rest. Would be really nice and clean if I could see all eight and get rid of the scroll bar. Using Chrome primarily. Thanks.

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

My 2 cents from a previous post. Thanks!

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 is now available

Same here. Thanks for the reports, or I wouldn't have checked mine. Stayed off after a subsequent reboot.

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

I recently had the USB drive fail that was connected to my router. There goes AB-Solution... no problem, I just re-installed. There goes my whitelist... oh boy... big problem. Months of adding this and that to the file and documenting all the additions with ' # descriptions ' so I'd know why...

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

Is it possible to get even more detail in the weekly 'Router Stats' email by increasing all of the 'Top 10' lists to 'Top 20' lists? Is this something that I can easily tweak myself?

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

Small issue noticed on the router stats email. Apostrophes are used instead of commas: 47'012 domains are blocked (blocking_file, blacklist.txt) 451'923 ads in total blocked 51'839 ads this week, since last Saturday This actually isn't new to 3.6.5, as the same was true in...

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

    Sounding a bit more like V3.5 than V3.1 ! :p

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

@thelonelycoder I know you indicated earlier in this thread that you would announce AB-Solution 3.1 here and continue feedback in the same thread, but with over 1000 replies in here already for AB-Solution 3.0 - and with what sounds like many new enhancements, I think it might be to everyone's...

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

They are definitely still there. You done good, my friend! :D Just wanted to make certain that the only thing being commented out was was I intended to comment out, and not any lines following them. Seems to be working as expected/desired. Thank you!

[Release] AB-Solution 3 - The Ad Blocking Solution

Can I add 'comment' lines in the whitelist without affecting its functionality when the file is processed? I want to keep track of why I am adding entries to the whitelist (so its easy to reverse after I've forgotten), like this: # JustGottaGoThere.com click.linksynergy.com sharesale.com...

    AB-Solution 1.07 is out!

The thought occurred to me that it might be of some value going forward to have an "AB-Solution Whitelist" thread created where everyone could post what URLs they have whitelisted, and why, and - if known - which host file created the need for their whitelisting(s). Having that information...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

After rebooting my RT-AC88U, I get the following message in my System Log for both of my OpenVPN Servers: "WARNING: using --duplicate-cn and --client-config-dir together is probably not what you want" Is this a cause for concern? Is there anything I can or should do to eliminate this message...

    ASUS Router App for Android

I contacted ASUS, and eventually got to someone "in the know" about the ASUS Router app for Android. Their response was as follows: The VPN related features are not implemented in this app yet. It is already on our plan, but it is complicated so it will take time for development and...

    ASUS Router App for Android

I have Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 installed on my RT-AC88U, and the ASUS Router app for Android (version 1.0.0.2.43) works great when connecting to the router while my phone is connected to my wireless network. However, when connecting through OpenVPN (TUN - since TAP is not supported on the OpenVPN...
