    Looking for streaming WiFi router for mostly Apple products

    Just to add something here, i have an asus house and am primarily macOS/ios and everything is working really well. I know nothing about synology products, so my comment is really only that Asus stuff is pretty good here.

    i had the same thing happen, i ended up uninstalling both, and then installing ntpmerlin then skynet. skynet is waiting for the ntp server to sync the clock. its waiting for the default one that doesn't get deleted (its not supposed to)

    i am not a linux guy, more macos. how do you restart ntpd? can an option also be added to the ntpmerlin command?

    It is working great now, i have all of the machines on my network getting time from the router. This does seem like the right thing to do. Thanks.

    i rebooted and then the skynet stuff would not start i turned on filtering to force all clients to use the router as the time server. i'll try it out again latter today

    I tried this yesterday, after installing it. i run the skynet firewall, (just ran firewall) and it locked up in this part of its script ntptimer=0 while [ "$(nvram get ntp_ready)" = "0" ] && [ "$ntptimer" -lt "300" ]; do ntptimer=$((ntptimer+1)) sleep 1 done i haven't looked...

    I have to agree with L&LD, i have a ton of apple stuff at home, and my new AX88U is working perfectly, it is the replacement for the 66U. Used to have apple routers, but the support from asus is a million times better. Also i get to configure my own router, install custom firewall rules, etc...

    I really like/love asus routers, for the same reason you give, i get updates all of the time. Other companies (apple) would have long stopped supporting there 2 year old routers, but Asus just a year or so ago stopped updating the AC66U. I used to have a 66U now i bought there latest greatest...

    I have them too and upnp is disabled for me. The only thing that seems that i have that is unusual is ipv6 enabled.

    I get the same thing all of the time and UPnP is disabled on my Router. I also get the blog_death_by_timeout messages all of the time too.

    i have the beta, ipv6 and dnsfiltering on opvpn doesnt really work for me, i am thinking that ipv6 is causing the issue. when i got vpn to work i couldnt ping other devices in the network at home

    I am trying to port forward the sshd on my mac mini to the outside world. I really don't need access to everything just that one machine. I used to have the machine accessible but now i can't. I can turn off Skynet, but i really would like to keep it on. if the answer is to turn off skynet then...

    I am trying to open up the ssh port on my device, i turned off secure mode in Skynet [8] --> Secure Mode | [Disabled] And i am trying to configure SSH, but i can never get to the machine. I am sure i am doing something wrong, but i don't know what.
