    I was looking for an alternative to minidlna, and found Gerbera. Anybody using it and wants to comment on their experience? It has some on-the-fly transcoding capabilities that may help me. Thanks in advance!

    Thank you! Will try. But keep in mind, when placing the same USB thumb drive on the USB 3.0 port mounts it perfectly. I would expect an issue with the partition or formatting to happen with both ports.

    Thanks for your kind response! The problem happens with both a flash drive and the HDD. So not power related. Also the same disk works OK on the USB 3.0 port. Don't think that's the issue. I am more inclined to think about bus speed, would look into how to set it to default...

    Isn't it funny that as soon as anybody says "Feature xyz is not available" everybody asks for it (even though they may not really need it!) Now if you say "it is incompatible and may never be replicated"... welll ... everybody drools for that feature... Aren't we all a bit like that?
