Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

I get it, it’s your time, and so rightly your way or the highway. And I also know how Gnuton already works with you and ASUS. I just thought that for the good of an entire continent he might be able to push his released blobs to a new folder on your infrastructure. This could be entirely...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

With the difference in worldwide frequencies being allowed I feel like many WiFi7 models are going to have this same split. I appreciate what you are saying about legality and time. But test devices are used all over the world and don’t cause a problem (and from personal experience can say they...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

I agree. The entire European market (and probably others!) relies on the non Pro version. Much as I appreciate Gnuton’s work, does he have the staying power of RMerlin? Do I want to run my router on a fork that may disappear in 12 months time? I can’t even find Gnuton’s version to try if I...

    Does ASUSWRT-Merlin's XT12 firmware support ET12?

I've been waiting for the ET12 for ages as it's my perfect long term future proof router. Can only hope it gets Merlin's blessing and then I can actually buy a pair.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.6 is now available for select models

I know it's uncouth to ask @RMerlin about future model inclusion and already we are lucky to have such a wide net of model support, but, given the ZenWiFi Pro XT12 is so closely related to the ZenWiFi Pro ET12 I wondered if that might be on the horizon? It's the only model that fits my needs of...

Internet detected as down, but router does nothing to try and fix it?

So I just got an alert from my monitoring that a remote site had gone offline (RT-AC5300 running 386.4 - I saw the mention of a possible fix for my issue in 386.5 Beta but doesn't seem applicable as no IPv6 enabled). I drive out there, router's Web UI says the internet is disconnected, and given...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

I just updated the iOS app to the same new version released today, I can now use it without crashes with HTTPS Only mode. So all good here.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

The other variables might be related to ports used and if you have a self signed or Let’s Encrypt cert installed.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

Switch to BOTH and now the app lets me log in. Switch back to HTTPS only and it crashes again when the app is connecting. Odd it works for you on HTTPS only but not me. For now I’ll just enable BOTH and keep an eye on the change logs for the app.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

As a temporary solution you could have your script use wl to deauthenticate and deauthorize the device to force it to reconnect. I had a similar issue 4-5 years ago with a pesky device that would stop responding every few days but was still associated on WiFi. Something like; mac="<your mac>"...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

I already have HTTPS only, I always disable HTTP. I also have the port changed from 8443 to 443 and have updated that in the advanced settings of the app. So maybe you need it set to BOTH, but that’s dumb. I expect the app checks HTTP and if it’s not there crashes as someone forgot to think...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

Could be Merlin specific. Plus they have a lot of routers on a lot of different versions to cover.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

When it works it's awesome. I regularly use it to check on my network - some stuff is in the app that isn't in the web UI (like if a client is on 5Ghz-1 or 5Ghz-2 network on a AiMesh node on a til band router). Hopefully they fix it shortly.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

Just upgraded my RT-AC86U. My iOS Asus App crashed when connecting to the router after upgrade. Removed router from app and re-added - now crashes on attempting to log in Uninstalled/Reinstalled app and still the same So I guess Asus need to fix the app, just wondered if I'm alone in this issue?

Merlin compatible router with >1gb WAN and Network port?

As already suggested, you could go with the RT-AX89X The 10G SPF+ Port can have a 10GBaseT transceiver in it - 10GTek make a compatible one - not sure if the SPF+ put you off? You'd lose Merlin compatibility, but if you are only using VPN as you say then that is in the Asus stock firmware...

RAM Usage growing on 386.3_2 and CPU Core stuck at 100%

Hi, So one of my routers I use for work, an RT-AC5300, running 386.3_2, has since I upgraded to that version exhibited 2 problems. 1. RAM grows over time. The culprit is conn_diag. I found other threads saying this process in 386.2 was creating large files, so it appears to have been tweaked...

    Enabling Link Aggregation via NVRAM?

If you enable SSH on the main router it also enables it on the nodes. Then you just SSH to the node using the same login credentials as you do on the main router.

Error locking /var/lock/amas_entry_list.lock: 24 Too many open files

No sorry, it seemed to just stop on mine. It was definitely related to unstable WAN, so I'd presume if that issue with my ISP came back it would too.

    Complain here about Tapatalk removal

The figure was based on it being paid on behalf of all the Tapatalk users on this forum so they can all continue to use it - nothing to do with Merlin.

Thanks for the forum software update

Easiest way to reproduce it is to put a new line. then you get no capitalisation <see start of this line Also if you write the first part of a word, like “big” then space, then backspace, it doesn’t recommend “biggest” as it would normally.
