Thanks for the forum software update

Only does it on this website. All other apps/sites it’s working fine. I’m assuming there is some JavaScript telling the browser to change the way autocorrect behaves.

    Complain here about Tapatalk removal

Well that is a very sad and misguided decision. It is clearly a revenue driven decision (which I understand), and yet the offer to replace the revenue is ignored. I would have genuinely sent you $1000 to make it happen (Yes 3 zeros!). I for one will not be frequenting the forum to offer support...

    Complain here about Tapatalk removal

OK so because of the lack of push notifications, and the apparent 51 minute delay between you posting and me getting an email telling me only about your above reply and for some reason NOT your reply in my other thread (not great is it!), I realise my above is at odds with your other reply which...

    Complain here about Tapatalk removal

The autocorrect thing is something Xenforo's test input field is doing to confuse the phone's built in autocorrect. It's a bug! If you have an iPhone, attempt to write a post with it - it's next to impossible. I'll make a screen share video if you want. To everything else, disappointing I...

    Push notifications?

I feel exactly like the same Marin Tapatalk is slick, forum websites (not just this one) are invariably filled with clutter and navigation is not easy, not to mention loss of features like push notifications. As I suggested, most/many forums do move back to enabling Tapatalk - I think the...

Thanks for the forum software update

Better access to paging - Tapatalk had floating page controls and reply button so available wherever you are scrolled on the page. Just found browsing around takes much long. At least add page controls to the top of the page - that way you can skip to the top of the page by tapping the browser...

Thanks for the forum software update

I posted in the suggestions forums but then found this so I’ll add all thoughts here... Ideally re enable Tapatalk, but if you insist on not then please resolve; Add Push notifications Add Dark Mode support (should be 3 shades of grey only - current theme is not only too light but too busy) Fix...

    Push notifications?

Following the (IMO bad) decision to remove Tapatalk - any ideas how I can get push notifications to my phone? I use Tapatalk for 2 reasons: 1. Keeps all my forums in 1 place and not filling my browser with forum tabs (don’t see a way around this other than maybe dedicating 1 browser to using...

Error locking /var/lock/amas_entry_list.lock: 24 Too many open files

So a couple of hours ago I noticed my internet was dropping out for a few seconds every few minutes. Looked at the logs and saw this. It was FAR more line and those, hundreds in a second or 2, then it would stop and do it again a few minutes later, which I assumed coincided with my drops. Is...

Error unlocking -1: 9 Bad File Descriptor

Can you remember your answer? My RT-AC86U has started doing this and I have no idea why!

    Private Wi-Fi Address

I think they are confusing security with privacy. Re duplicates, there are 2 to the 46 unique "locally-administered" MAC addresses (there is a bit in the MAC which says if it’s a globally assigned address with a registered OUI or a locally assigned random one). This gives 70,368,744,177,664...

    Private Wi-Fi Address

OP cleared states it can be disabled per network. The screenshot is of the settings for a known SSID. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Creating a guest network from powerline adapters

Not with AiMesh, it can use wireless backhaul. Or you can use Ethernet Powerline backhaul. Which one works better will depend on your thickness of walls vs quality/layout of electricity cables Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

Very true. No scheduled tests in Asus version by the look of it. Be cool if you could enhance their version long term rather than run a separate one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It does, could always get a used one off ebay. RT-AC68U or 66U_b1 would work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    RT-AC5300 Smart Connection Rules

No, as all it does is split the devices over the radios. You are better to separate devices by connection type (n/ac) than randomly spreading them around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    RT-AC5300 Smart Connection Rules

These are my recommended settings, but they aren’t going to fix your bloat is the point https://www.snbforums.com/threads/gt-ac5300-band-steering-which-setup-is-best.44332/#post-377657 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    RT-AC5300 Smart Connection Rules

Unless you’ve got 4-5 devices all hammering 500Mbps transfers at the same time, your Wi-fi is not adding significantly to your jitter/latency/bloat. The bottleneck is the WAN side, trust me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
