    It depends on the sonos speaker but for the beam I had to leave 2.4GHz on auto on the router because the sonos beam doesn't support n. [edit, i have no idea why i was able to connect sporadically with the app with N only.. but that part may have been a router bug.]

    May I ask if there's a chance that in AP mode there might ever be the possibility of having vlan tagging for the guest network? I really like the XT8s but not having that limits it's usability in AP mode, for me at least.

    unfortunately I'm guessing all Asus routers in AP mode do not support vlan tagging otherwise it would be a trivial thing to do. Personally I'm looking into getting a couple of new APs with wireless mesh which support that which is a pity because I like the XT8s I have.

    I can confirm that AP mode guest can be connected to now, however there is no network isolation so it's not really a usable guest network. progress though, thanks! :)

    I have my two zen XT8s in AP mode with wireless backhaul between the two.

    installed in AP mode, haven't noticed any issues so far, working as well as before for me except that the guest still isn't isolated. was hoping the 'ARP' issue they fixed might have addressed that.

    heh, that's kind of the point of 'testing' beta firmware plus it gives us the opportunity of notifying the developers of any issues we encountered in stock and are still present in the beta.

    From what I could gather it means there's a client on that node which isn't connected to it's preferred/bound node.
