    Just a data-point for anybody reading this thread. I just installed my pair of ZenWifi AX to replace my pair of rt-ac5300. I have to say, so far very stable and am liking them. I'm have one in AP mode and the other as an AI-Mesh node using wireless backhaul with the latest (3.0.0.4.386_25224)...

    I had the same issue on my two RT-AC5300, one as main router and the other as repeater, both were showing very high constant CPU usage with the 3.0.0.4.384.81622 firmware.     wl0_radio is always =1 each time I set a channel if i get the value from nvram it's correct.. , i've tried 6u, 11 .. no change, the value is ignored on the router in repeater mode and the channel is always automatically selected.
