What is a good, free, private DNS that doesn't log traffic?

Any link to how I can use these without the DNSCrypt proxy? I went to the DNSCrypt.org website and that was not to helpfull. I am still working on it. I'd like to just put a URL into the router and client device DNS sections for primary and secondary DNS servers but can't find them.

    DNSCrypt on Asus-Merlin Variants?

http://dnscrypt.org/#dnscrypt-windows I saw in the above web page that DD-WRT and Tomato have DNSCrypt built in. I use the Merlin FW and Fork variants but have not been able to find this. Is DNSCrypt already included in Merlins FW but I am missing it? If so, can someone tell me where it is...

would like to connect two routers

Welcome! This forum can be confusing when you first come to it. You need to spend a little time investigating your options and determining how you really want to set up your network. Your post seemed to indicate that you want to do everything by wireless. That is possible if you configure...

How do I connect to Internet using VPN on Blocked Network

Since my trips to to China and other countries may last 3-6 weeks, I have to get access to my home networks to administer them. I also own apartments and run networks in them. If something happens, I need to access them remotely. I need to implement a system to access networks. If SSL...

How do I connect to Internet using VPN on Blocked Network

The use of SSL in addition to a VPN was what I proposed originally based on my research. Good to know that this was verified. On the TOR website I found discussions about China being able to detect these VPN tunnels anyway and shutting them down. I believe that China is willing to disrupt...

    How Secure is HTTPS?

A VPN tunnel is supposed to prevent that - Which is why I have now installed one on my mobile devices. Unfortunately, it was PPTP with encryption. In researching vulnerabilities I found that PPTP with the standard encrption schemes that accompany it are easily penetrated by software such as...

How do I connect to Internet using VPN on Blocked Network

Yes I work in a Technology Company that is getting much more concerned about "Cyber-Security" - As am I. They are tightening upon network access to an ever increasing degree. That is just smart and probably overdue anyway. I will just have to not be connected all the time and take more...

    How Secure is HTTPS?

Normally, I would think that Microsoft has valid and up to date certifications but, I have found that not to be true. Microsoft does implement more security on their email system then Gmail but I have found that they often have out-of-date certs. They go back and fix the problem when I have...

How do I connect to Internet using VPN on Blocked Network

Believe me, I would do that if I could. The building I am in is constructed of thick, high metal content concrete with a metal roof and steel framework. Cellular signals don't penetrate into, or out of, the building very good. To use my cellular network I have to go out of my office to a...

What is a good, free, private DNS that doesn't log traffic?

Thanks. This is what I was looking for. It was interesting to note the number of "secure" servers in the USA but that all of them had logging. I was surprised that there was one on the list in Canada which didn't have logging since they seem to follow the lead of the USA.

Low Cost, Good,VPN Proxy Server provider that works for multiple devices

I looked at TorGuard as an option. They seemed to be one of the more expensive providers and had limited proxy server location selections. My first impression was that they had limited feature sets in their software. I will do a little more investigation. Do they limit data transmissions...

    How Secure is HTTPS?

I just came back from Holiday in Europe. Almost immediately on returning I started receiving notifications from my MS Outlook accounts that someone was accessing accounts from locations other than normal. Evidently, two accounts had been accessed/hacked. I made several stupid mistakes to...

Is there an Advantage in Implementing a SSL over/In addition to a VPN

As my post question stated; Are there significant advantages of trying to implement a SSH on top of encryption in a VPN? I would think that it would improve security by putting a second layer of encryption over that provided by the VPN. I would think that this would come at the cost of...

Low Cost, Good,VPN Proxy Server provider that works for multiple devices

Another basic question. I have been doing some research on VPN Proxy Server providers and have found that there may be a charge per device for the service. Can anyone provide a recommendation of a VPN Proxy Server provider that allows multiple VPN servers and clients to have simultaneous...

What is a good, free, private DNS that doesn't log traffic?

I've been doing more research on security and privacy and have some basic questions I hope forum members can answer. My research would lead me to believe that using a VPN and proxy servers does not provide the anonymity one would expect. One of the problems is that a record of internet...

How do I connect to Internet using VPN on Blocked Network

I am trying to access my home network (or anywhere on the internet) on my Samsung Galaxy S5 Android mobile device through a VPN when connected to my work network. I set up a PPTP VPN on the mobile device and home router (Asus RT-AC68) which works fine when connecting to other unsecure...

Using a 2nd router for VPN traffic?

I am a newbie at this myself so forgive me for asking dumb questions. The two routers have different LAN IP's but they have the same WAN IP (at least according to the diagram). Why shouldn't the computers be able to access each other if they have a NAT which includes the IP's of all devices...

    Asus RT-AC66 Alternatives

I have quite a bit of experience with the RT-N66, RT-AC66, RT-AC68, and some experience with the RT-AC87 Asus routers. In my experience the RT-AC66 routers with John's Fork firmware (see post #2 by joegreat for the link) provides the best value of Wireless throughput to cost. I have not...

    Connection through TOR fails?

I started doing a little research on TOR in the router since you mentioned it. There isn't a lot out there, thankfully. It seems that you provided a feature that people were asking about for years. Congratulations! If I can summarize what I believe the arguments for and against TOR in the...
