Release Asuswrt-Merlin 384.19 is now available

I don't blame you one bit; what you have to deal with is completely nuts. I would have stuck with .18 happily, but you went and outdid yourself with .19, so I took the plunge and hope to have the same success. I was running over a month solid with .18 on my AC-86U and AC-68P (AIMesh Node)...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 384.19 is now available

Just wanted to give some input into my upgrade experience with an AC-86U. I was hesitant to upgrade through the beta due to not having a good time for the downtime possibility, which was prudent on my part. Post upgrade, it didn't take the first time, which I've seen before; second time...

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server)

Following update, is it necessary to remove and re-add YouTube Adblock to apply the updates, or does that occur with the update to 3.13?

Suricata Suricata - IDS on AsusWRT Merlin

@Martineau; the install script is working great so far. I have found that when running with the log command, suricata stops once you break out of it; issuing with a start command does the trick and there aren't any logs showing why it stops, so thinking there would need to be a restart issued...

Suricata Suricata - IDS on AsusWRT Merlin

Is there a benefit to supporting a VPN interface in this method compared to adding just -interface: tun11 following eth0? It appears that you are separately defining settings per interface in this manner, perhaps for more clear logging purposes or is this for other value? How has your testing...

Suricata Suricata - IDS on AsusWRT Merlin

I was able to load, though needed to browse to the created directory and execute with the install configuration. So far, so good. Thanks and I'll continue testing over the next several days.

Suricata Suricata - IDS on AsusWRT Merlin

@Martineau, is it possible to also only warn about QoS if Traditional is in use and only block for Adaptive? I would like to see if the issue here was the Trend component required for Adaptive, where that is not in use when using Traditional.

Suricata Suricata - IDS on AsusWRT Merlin

Once my workday is over, I will test installing to provide feedback; I do have Traditional QoS enabled, though looking through this thread, believe that the limitation is Adaptive QoS... only one way to find out for sure ;). Will also need to determine recovery/uninstall method should things go...

Suricata Suricata - IDS on AsusWRT Merlin

Having read through this full thread, this project seems like it would be a great addition to become available in amtm. Is there a good baseline configuration yet and stability that someone with the right skill set might be able to create an install wrapper to expand this to the broader...

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server)

The minor update you posted appears to have resolved the grep when Diversion is not installed.

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server)

Coming from 3.11b3, the update didn't seem to want to get rid of the b3 and hash didn't match. I ended up removing and reloading, though dnsmasq needed to be enabled and then disabled following the reload for clients to resolve DNS. Since a greenfield reload of things a week ago, I didn't...

amtm amtm - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu

Not sure if the amtm thread or Diversion would be better to inquire, but this was a topic a few pages back. I recently jumped onto the Unbound bandwagon and have enabled the integrated Ad Block capabilities in unbound_manager, which suggests not running along with Diversion. Is there a...

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server)

I was able to do so; desire is to have minimal logging in Scribe to show that it is functioning as expected, though relying primarily on the Add-on page to confirm along with stats in SSH. Not sure if you may know why, but I have not seen a single DNS Filtering hit over the 2 days before the...

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server)

Updated to the minor version increment and spurious untidy error text is indeed gone. Thanks for identifying and resolving so quickly. Having read through this full thread in the past several days, I did want to mention that I am also not seeing scribe from advanced options. Yesterday, my...

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server)

Installed the 3.09 update, which appears to be working fine, though see the following when loading from amtm or through the console directly: +======================================================================+ | Welcome to the unbound Manager/Installation script (Asuswrt-Merlin) | |...

    [Experimental] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 test - AiMesh/DNSSEC through OpenSSL

I am currently using an RT-AC86U in router mode and RT-AC68P in repeater mode to stretch the wireless over a long distance; no other devices connect to the primary 2.4GHz SSID of the AC86U and the repeated signal of the AC68P is also not used. An RT-AC3200 in AP mode is connected to the LAN...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

My experiences with lots of testing across many firmwares is that MB mode is a half-baked, non-functional compromise that should not be used. If you insist on using a transparent ARP client bridge, either go with WDS (I did not have much success), use DD-WRT (not really transparent, but...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

Dirty flashed 384.10 over Beta 3 on an AC86U, AC68P, and AC3200, all without issue. Updated everything as needed through amtm with all services running, including OVPN. Have verified TLS 1.3 is functioning overall and also with the ASUS management sites. Great job with the last several builds!

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 Beta is now available

Failed to mention, running OpenVPN from my AC86U with this build and having no issues.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 Beta is now available

With 13 days stable on 384.9, took the plunge with 384.10 on AC86U, AC68P, and AC3200 with no issues to report thus far.
