    NTP Daemon for ASUSWRT/Merlin

Great! Just be sure he is taken care of, "refclock 127.127.20.0 isn't supported. ntpd was compiled without refclock support"

Step 7 When you're done, close the Messages window and keep the application open. Click YES to this dialog. Step 8 Click SEND to update the flash memory of the GPS with your new settings. Step 9 Now open a text console to see the NMEA data being reported by the GPS. Step 10 You should see...

    NTP Daemon for ASUSWRT/Merlin

How to use the U-blox u-center software to configure a U-blox GPS receiver to hide your geographic location. Note: This HowTo is for the u-blox GPS receiver and the u-center software only. It is not intended for the SiRF Star GPS receiver, which is another fine GPS product that uses a...

    NTP Daemon for ASUSWRT/Merlin

Once Entware-ng is setup on your router, do something like this: opkg update opkg upgrade opkg install ntpd Great, now you've got NTP server with the NMEA driver support.

    NTP Daemon for ASUSWRT/Merlin

This line needs to be taken care of, "refclock 127.127.20.0 isn't supported. ntpd was compiled without refclock support" You need an NTP server compiled with --enable-NMEA. It appears that Entware-ng has this. Are you using the latest Entware-ng...

    NTP Daemon for ASUSWRT/Merlin

Will post the screen shots to show you how, soon.

    NTP Daemon for ASUSWRT/Merlin

Are you seeing any NMEA data from the device? cat /dev/ttyACM0 Be sure to obscure your location from any NMEA data that you post. I don't care where you live, but others might. The $GPZDA lines is safe.

    NTP Daemon for ASUSWRT/Merlin

Soon, I will take the screen shots, to show you how. https://www.u-blox.com/en/product/u-center-windows

    NTP Daemon for ASUSWRT/Merlin

First thing you do is download and install the u-blox u-center software, https://www.u-blox.com/sites/default/files/u-centersetup_v8.26.zip Next, configure your u-blox GPS receiver to report only $GPZDA and disable all other NMEA sentences. AND, remember to save this settings to the GPS flash...

    Optware compilation packages error

I think you may be having toolchain issues with trying to compile natively on the router. Therefore, you just need to do exactly what's recommended in the Wiki, here: https://github.com/Optware/Optware-ng/wiki/Contributing-to-Optware-ng...

    Optware compilation packages error

I think @sfx2000 was suggesting to add a new Optware/Optware-ng package and then cross-compile the new package in a VM; do not try to compile natively on the router itself. Install Ubuntu 14.04 (64-bits) in a VM, then follow the instructions to setup a development environment for building the...

    Optware compilation packages error

What's the difference of the two packages? https://github.com/bg111/asterisk-chan-dongle https://github.com/jstasiak/asterisk-chan-dongle Looks the same? Try Entware-ng.

Default iptables rules using -i br0

Yes, I think so. The bridge interface (br0) means all LAN interfaces. Unless you've un-bridged some (vlan1) frames with ebtables -t broute, then you'd need to reference (vlan1) in addition to (br0). The firmware uses (br0), so I don't think that would work. Both AsusWRT and Asuswrt-Merlin...

Default iptables rules using -i br0

You cannot simply re-write the firewall rules to specify the physical interfaces instead of the bridge interface (br0). So, I think the answer to your question is, No. When a frame enters the bridge interface (br0), all information about the physical interface (eth1, eth2, wl0.1, wl1.1, etc)...

    Optware or Entware

This may shed some light. There are multiple supported "feature frozen" versions of Asterisk. https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+Versions The 1.x versions are no longer supported. No security updates.

    Optware or Entware

When I typed, "make asterisk14", in Optware-ng, it downloaded http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/releases/asterisk-1.4.22.1.tar.gz and then the checksum validation failed, for some unknown reason. However, it appears that Optware-ng has multiple version of Asterisk. Asterisk...

    Optware or Entware

    Optware-ng has Asterisk 1.4.22, dated 28-Nov-2012. Entware-ng has Asterisk 11.25.1, dated 08-Dec-2016.

    Optware or Entware

    Maybe someone could compile Optware-ng with a prefix of /mmc or /media. Then Optware-ng could be run side-by-side with Entware-ng? Example: Global search & replace the root prefix /opt with /media find $HOME/Optware-ng -type f -print0 | xargs -0 -I '{}' sed -r -i 's/(\/opt)($|\W)/\/media\2/g' '{}'

    Optware or Entware

I compile Entware-ng from sources and have my own local package repo on the router, which is probably more than most people are willing to do. That said, if there's a package that's not current in Entware-ng, sometimes it's as easy as updating the version number yourself in the Makefile, and...
