Netgear xr500 your experiences with this router.

Thank you e38BimmerFN, greatly appreciated. Looking at all three replies I've received to my initial post, I can't help but notice not once was XR500 mentioned :) Is that not a good option? I kind of understand when price is like it is now when sale is off, and XR500 went back to its regular...

Netgear xr500 your experiences with this router.

Thank you so much! All points taken. Is Voxel still working on R7800 firmware variations of his own? I am guessing that will most likely slowly die too along with the router. I mean if it's imminent hitting its EOL, Voxel also won't have any base to work with, that's simple reality just like...

Netgear xr500 your experiences with this router.

Hi rk8531! Thank you so much for you input. I totally understand that. I was even looking at Synology RT2600AC, and while I do understand it's few good years old hardware, Synology keeps updating it with super useful features. I was thinking about R7800 only in case Voxel's firmware is still...

    Am I being hacked?

Nope, my router wasn't hacked into. I've had couple of people who work in IT sector look at everything, there was absolutely nothing out of ordinary, not even in log files. Besides, since then, I've completely disabled VPN (don't really need it, or use it anymore). Router reset to factory...

    ROBLOX causing reboot?

@gian25 - please come back with updates (whenever you might have them). It might help someone else who is experiencing similar issues. This is not actually the first time I've heard someone suspecting ROBLOX is causing these kind of problems (...

ASUS ROG GT-AC5300 vs Cisco 891F.

I have 3 people playing games (PS4, Xbox One X, and Xbox One S all in separate rooms). I also have 3 people constantly doing their online business (24/7), and two who can't get off of the YouTube. I have AC3100 and I could not be happier. Was running Merlin 382, and now 384 Beta without any...

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

Yes, but original question wasn't mine. It was posted by Keenan. I never had problems original poster posted about. I just simply posted this screenshot of where he should look for this HIDE SSID setting :) Cheers!

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

Thank you so much for your respond Mr. Sauvageau . I guess even though it's kind of "unknown" area, I am assuming it's still safe to leave it on for now, or does it do anything counterproductive if it's not turned off? Thank you so much for your answer. Currently I have QOS disabled...

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

I am hoping some good soul will have few seconds of their time to shed some light on this... I've noticed this with last few firmware updates. Not sure exactly when it started, since I didn't pay a lot of attention... I thought it's something with my ISP/connection and that it would go away. But...

    [SOLVED] Issue updating firmware

Do you by any chance have USB external HD or SD key plugged into your router? If the answer is yes, try installing the latest firmware without USB plugged in, then reset your router.

    SmallNetBuilder load times increased [Solved]

I know this is from 2013, but today September 17th, 2017, I am having this problem. It takes up to 1 minute for pages on SNBforums to open. Never even have I had this long loading times. In the bottom left corner of my Google Chrome, I can see it's loading vma.tgdaily.net... I just tried...

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

You don't. After upgrading to Merlin's firmware, there is tons of settings non-existing in official firmware, so of course you have to set everything from scratch. Settings you saved while still on official firmware should not be used with Merlin's version.

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

Hi, I am constantly seeing this exclamation point next to my DDNS: info (Network Map page). I don't remember seeing it on my old RT-AC68U, except for when Asus DDNS was down. There are two scenarios I am seeing in this UI. One is when I hover over that exclamation point to see what does it...

Just got myself RT-AC3100 - have quick question

Thank you, this is very useful info. I even ran my old RT-AC68U with a fan right in front of it. I actually never had any trouble with overheating, but I knew little bit more airflow won't hurt at all. My AC3100 has exactly the same temps like in your first line-up (without the cooler). I've...

Just got myself RT-AC3100 - have quick question

Sure, that's what I'm gonna do. Can't recall if factory reset is needed after flashing Merlin's build over the ASUS official one. My AC3100 is still on that old ASUS firmware that can be seen in the photo I posted in my first post up there. Is it simply flash newest Merlin over that ASUS one...
