    It’s going to be largely the same. From what I’ve read on these forums the USB transfer speed is mainly router CPU speed dependent.

    For my own home I configure the Wi-Fi SSID and password to be the same on each of my WAPs. Perhaps I’m just lucky but my devices seems to connect or the the stronger signal without any hassle.

    Did you double check the W10 firewall after you installed the new router? Often times Windows will detect a new router, consider it a different network, and switch the PC back to being on a public network with a full firewall.

    Is your cable modem acting as a DHCP server? It would seem so since your Asus router doesn’t see your “real” public IP address. Side question, what are you using as LAN IP range? I wouldn’t think that a cable modem would use a routable address (100.) by default.

    I’d bet money on that. Not that Apple is infallible at all but I’d imagine they try A LOT harder than smart TV manufacturers.

    The UI asks me to manually restart the router shortly after the progress bar reaches 100%. Are you saying that it’s telling me to do something that breaks the update process?

    After two attempts my AC88U doesn’t seems to want to update. The process goes along as I would expect but after manually restarting the router, as requested at the end of the update process, I’m still on 382.1_2
