    Sounds to me like the processor in your AC56U just can’t hang with gigabit service. I’m not certain of that but that’s what it sounds like.

    That’s a fairly strong indication, although not conclusive, that your internet connection is fine. I’m not sure how your router would be making your devices refresh content in apps, that seems like a client issue. Then you say it’s happening on multiple clients. Very odd.

    Try running a continuous ping, say 10-15 minutes, to a remote site. Post what the results are.

    I’m running the latest firmware, 1.0.1.9p I believe. I don’t see the option to schedule a reboot through the GUI but telnet access is available. Is there a way to schedule a reboot via telnet access? Thanks

    Unfortunately the usual recommendation for Smart Connect is to turn it off and not use it. It just doesn’t work well. A real bummer.

    Perhaps you’ve thought of this already but, depending on which entertainment devices you have, some times your mobile devices need to talk to them. For instance air play or similar.
