    Good timing! Seems that I have to run 2 routers now to get my 4 WireGuard sessions. Just bought the AX-6000 and even it is limited to two concurrent WireGuard sessions - both on 3.0.0.4.388.2xxx and the new 9.0.0.6 beta. Glad I didn’t waste money on a triband or quadband router.

    Bugger! I just bought a GT-AX6000. I would have preferred a tri-band router. Oh well, at least the GT-AX6000 will be getting 3.0.0.6.

    Likewise @majika - looking forward to your report. The AX88U is limited to two concurrent WireGuard VPN sessions. It asks you to disconnect one if you try and connect a 3rd.

    I was considering this router for family use as it’s relatively unobtrusive - compared to an AX11000 for instance. CPU is a bit weak, but there’s no VPN Fusion, is there? It’s 388 firmware, but no VPN Fusion?? Can someone pls confirm? Thanks…

    Ok - but my point is that the you are using Asus wireguard code to do the connecting, so there will probably be a maximum number of concurrent sessions limit imposed when using the AX88U Havn’t been able confirm yet whether this also applies to the AX11000.

    Yes, 5 are supposed to be supported. Except there is a h/w limitation on the AX88U that limits that router to 2 concurrent sessions. If VPN Director is currently a UI running on top of stock WireGuard code (as you said yourself), you might find a pop-up when you try and connect the 3rd session.

    Where is the confirmation? He said he needs to investigate further, and if the results are the same, etc. We know the AX88U has h/w limitations, the AX86U is a similar beast. I’m more interested in testing on the new models, the PRO models for instance.
