    Asus fixed the issue. Fixed VPN fusion connection issues with Surfshark WireGuard profile.

    Please don’t forget that I only use my AX88U for tunnels. I don’t have any “WAN” clients. So I’m unable to test them. The only WAN testing I was able to do was the built-in Ookla Speedtest - which showed the full ISP speed limit.

    I don’t use WireGuard server - I use WireGuard client. Maybe that is where the confusion lies. You enjoy Ballermann de Mallorca while I enjoy 4 WireGuard sessions de VPN Fusion - WAN unaffected.

    Hi Gustour, Do you mind telling me your ISP or Country? I was also a fan of SFP+ because it came straight in from the distribution frame, direct into my router. Not modem, straight into the router. And this was a home installation! Ah, the good ol’ days.

    8 years ago in Singapore, my ISP provided me with a 10 Gbps SFP+ internet connection. They were way ahead of their time. The 89X would have been ideal then, but SFP+ doesn’t seem to be that popular now - in a consumer setting. I doubt the 89X will get 388 firmware - which means no WireGuard...

    As we now know, there is a hardware-imposed connection limitation of 2 concurrent sessions only the AX88U only. AX11000 PRO was announced in Australia recently, but could still be months away. I don’t think I really need a 6GHz router. Triband will be enough - and 4 concurrent WireGuard sessions.

    Only a firmware recovery requires a wired connection. I have been doing firmware updates wirelessly for years - never had a problem.

    I don’t want to overstep my limited knowledge, but if you are talking about the Enable NAT toggle in the WireGuard profile - think about what that means - don’t let your judgement be clouded. Will more than one device be assigned to that WireGuard profile? Then you probably need to Enable NAT...
