AC86U not retaining dhcp static list after reboots

Is this something that Asus would accept bug reports for?

AC86U not retaining dhcp static list after reboots

    Hi there. I'm having this issue on 384.17 with an AX88U and it's driving me crazy. My /jffs/ partition is 99% full, and it's almost exclusively TrafficAnalyzer. admin@RT-AX88U-27B8:/tmp/home/root# du -h /jffs 0 /jffs/scripts 3.5K /jffs/.le/[REDACTED].asuscomm.com/backup 25.0K...

[Solved] High RAM usage RT-AX88U, question.

First, a couple of things: 1. It's impossible to search for "RAM" because SmallNetBuilder's forum search blocks keywords that are too short. This probably leads to additional threads. Not the user's fault; that's something the site admin needs to fix. 2. It's not helpful or productive to go...

Asus AX6100 (two AX 92U routers)

Homes are all constructed differently. Materials and the stuff inside the walls / floors plays a major role in wireless signals. You've said that the satellite unit is "on the other end of the house." Approximately how long / wide is your house? With two stories I'm guessing it's well over...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.15 (and 384.13_4) are now available

Just upgraded my AX-88U from 384.14. IPSEC VPN works, but I am having a problem turning on 802.11ax / Wi-Fi 6 mode. I select "Enable" and click Apply, and when it comes back the setting is still disabled. I'm eager to test out OFDMA. I have Smart Connect dual band enabled, WPA2 personal...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

Thanks for the replies, both of you. Quick update: I used the Asus Firmware Recovery tool to roll back to Asus' stock firmware 384_5329, same as Merlin's 384.9. I forgot to reset to factory settings, and it appears to have preserved all my network settings. Now on the stock firmware, both...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

Let me ask you something else ... when I run "Wi-Fi Explorer" on my Mac, I do not see any 5GHz signal from my router. I also pressed the Wi-Fi button on the front of the router. The lights went out. I pressed it again and both Wi-Fi lights went on, then went off, then went on, and finally...

    [Asus RT-AX88U] Experiences & Discussion

I pressed the hardware Wi-Fi button on the front of the router. The two Wi-Fi lights went out. Pressed it again, and the two lights went on, off, on, and then 5Ghz went out. Does that mean anything?

    [Asus RT-AX88U] Experiences & Discussion

I just bought an RT-AX88U a few days ago and it shows 5GHz radio is disabled in the status. I'm running Merlin's firmware, build 384.9. Is this disabled on Merlin, or have I disabled the feature through some kind of easy-to-miss hardware or software configuration? It shows 5GHz disabled...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

I have an RT-AX88U with Smart Connect enabled, and I installed Merlin 384.9. In Tools / Sysinfo, the 5GHz radio is "disabled." Yet, I have looked at the Wireless / Professional tab and both radios are enabled. I also tried disabling / enabling the radio manually. No change. With Smart...

Just bought a R7000, What firmware?

I'll chime in with another vote for AdvancedTomato. I have been using Shibby's TomatoUSB variant for over a year, when I stumbled upon AdvancedTomato around September 2016. Shibby has given sparse updates on Linksysinfo.org, but in recent posts he has said that he's been very busy with his...

Slow WiFi with RT-N66U and 374.43

For what it's worth ... I was running TomatoUSB for 6 months on my N66U and had no major issues. My best uptime was 70 days. Then I switched back to AsusWRT-Merlin (full NVRAM reset) and saw improved performance on the Wi-Fi, but a few days later, suddenly none of my devices could connect on...

    ASUS RT-N66U Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.376.1071

perch0: Take a look at the WAN page for a setting called "DHCP Query Frequency." Is it set to Aggressive, or Normal? And who is your ISP?

Not going to be using Merlin for a while...

I was using a 3.0.0.374.36 beta version, and then tried 3.0.0.374.38_1-em which so unusable (router admin page stopped responding shortly after boot, Internet inaccessible) that I had to use recovery flash to go back to the .36 beta. As for 3.0.0.374.38_2-em, I have had choir rehearsals every...

Not going to be using Merlin for a while...

Hi gang, I have been lurking for a long time (hence my low post count) but have been using Merlin's firmware since I bought my RT-N66U almost a year ago. I have gone back to TomatoUSB after much toil and sweat, because I have reached the almost certain conclusion that while ASUS' hardware is...

Is this a bug on Asus firmware? WAN disconnections

I noticed in the product notes on Newegg that the SB6141 has a lowpass filter at 1GHz to guard against interference from MoCA, or Multimedia Over CoAx. What do you know about this feature?

Is this a bug on Asus firmware? WAN disconnections

OK. I had Charter come over yesterday afternoon to repair the jack on the wall. The technician didn't install it right in the first place, and there was a splitter outside in the junction box. Our signals were already well within parameters (45dBmV Upstream, -2 to +3dBmV Downstream on all...

Is this a bug on Asus firmware? WAN disconnections

It happened again, at around the same time of night. I will continue to log each outage. Also, this reminds me why I switched to Tomato many months ago: I started having this problem right away when the RT-N66U router was brand new. I tried the stock firmware for about a month, then I...

Is this a bug on Asus firmware? WAN disconnections

Well, it happened again last night after less than 12 hours runtime. The log is attached, starting at the disconnection, and ending at the reconnection. Single periods indicate that the previous line was repeated.
